I bought a set for my BMW about 1000 kilometers ago. They are a real pleasure to drive on all terrains. I wanted street/racing tires, but this is why I bought Pirelli 6000 instead:
HANDLING/PERFORMANCE: Great response/feel and grip.
* Excellent all-round tire. Can handle delapitated roads extremely well. The roads where I live are in poor condition...
* Really hugs the corners at high speed. You definately "feel" the road, as they're quite soft and springy. Harder tires cause you to sometimes skid/lose control more easily. So these tires are GREAT for new drivers too!
* Amazing hold in rain, due to a NEW-IMPROVED tire pattern.
* Keeps totally straight and feels perfect on long highways.
* Excellent for driving on normal ~ crappy roads. Not ideal for racing as they're a little bouncy, but great for driving around the city and thrashing about in the hills where there's lots of deebris like little rocks and pot-holes + slick surfaces like man-hole covers.
COST: Very reasonable... I paid USD85 for each tire.
* They don't look too stylish... but if you want a reliable and good value tire, then you'll be happy with a set of these. Since mine are 15" it reads "R15" on the tire.
NOISE: I do not find them to be noisy at all. Just sweet music to my ears... hehe!
* It's VERY DIFFICULT to find good tires when you have 15" rims. All the other good ones start at 17"
LOOKS: Simple.
* Pirelli has been a trusted (Italian) brand for decades. Perfect for the shrewed car owner who doesn't need flash but likes to challenge his/her car from time-to-time.
:o)
