Advantages: Good protection and moisturising Disadvantages: not for people who want a higher SPF
PizBuin In sun lotion SPF 10
?GET THE MOST OUT OF LIFE IN THE SUN SAFELY?.
This is one of the products I have used before when in the sun, and PizBuin being one of my preferred makes, I know I will probably like this.
WHAT IT DOES...
This offers SPF 10 which is considered low but which I find is fine for my first week or so in the sun.
It is UVA/UVB with helioplex which apparently provides photostable broad spectrum protection, whatever that is! It also contains Vitamin E which the information on the back of the bottle tells me will neutralise free radicals which cause premature skin ageing.
The lotion is also water and sweat resistant, whcih is a claim most of these kind of products make but one which I am not entirely sure of.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The 200ml plastic bottle is the usual PizBuin brown ...
Advantages: cheap, effective Disadvantages: plain packaging may put some people off
We were shopping in Asda, when my boyfriend said he wanted some AfterSun as he had got sunburnt on his arms. We headed for the sun care section, and he chose Asda Smart Price aftersun lotion as it was the cheapest one there. To be honest, I wasn't convinced this would be any good and offered to buy a more expensive named brand, but he insisted that this one would be fine, so that's what we bought.
A few weeks later and I had to use this myself as I'm very pale and managed to get slightly burnt on my shoulders even though I'd only been in the sun 10 minutes!

Smart Price is Asda's economy range, and like all other products in this range, the packaging is plain white and simply has 'aftersunlotion' written on the front in blue - no fancy writing or pictures. The bottle has a small, flip top cap, which when ...
of the islands2 as advertised on the suntan oils and lotions. Instead it has less of a summer holiday smell, and whilst it smells fruity, it smells more like my usual moisturisers. Not unpleasant, and not disappointing, just a bit unexpected. Anyway, I don't think i want to be smelling so fruity after a day in the sun- maybe a bit neutral after a shower is a good thing.
The aftersun itself isn't really thick and creamy, because if it was, it would probably clog up the pump. However, partly because of the fact that it's not incredibly thick, it does soak easily into my skin and doesn't need lots and lots of rubbing in. So, I can apply it and go, which is a bonus because I hate it when I rud and rub and massage and am still left with a thin layer of white moisturiser on my skin
