The Money Plant - A Perfect Mothers Day Gift!
Review of Money plant by micksheff

Advantages: Incredibly Easy To Grow
Disadvantages: Quite Susceptible To Bugs

...also often known as the Money Plant, and also is occasionally referred to as a Friendship Tree. There are many different cultivated forms, the most common of these are Silver Jade Plant, Silver Dollar, and Chinese Jade. Despite the name of the latter all Jade Plants are native to Southern Africa where in the wild they frequently grow over 10 feet tall. All Jade Plants belong to the Genus Crassula which means "a little bit fat." This refers to the ...
...in drought conditions. These leaves are soft and fleshy to the touch and have a dark green coloured smooth, waxy outer coating. CARE AND MAINTENANCE The cultivated form of the Jade Plant can grow surprising quickly if given the correct environment. Most House Plants will generally grow between one and five feet tall. They prefer a dry sandy soil which should be allowed to completely dry out between watering. During the Winter months they should ... Read review

theres a spider in my bathroom
Review of Spider Plants by danniell

Advantages: great plant
Disadvantages: none

Spider plants are very hardy plants and make a lovely house plant that especially like cool but damp rooms like bathrooms. Spider plants are a hanging plant so look lovely in a tub on a shelf or hung on the wall, they have very long thin leaves that are a gark green on the outside getting lighter as they go into the middle which is almost white. They dont flower but look beautiful anyway so are good house plants for people with hayfever. Spider ...
...become pale and droopy. Spider plants produce off spring on stalks that hang from the plant, the babies will grow on the end of the stalk quite adequatley but this puts a lot of strain on the plant and uses the plants water to survive. You are better off cutting the stalk off from plant and baby then potting baby in a seperate pot, before you know it you will have another adult spider plant. You will never need to buy a spider plant again as most ... Read review

my little fly trap
Review of Venus Fly Trap/Pitcher Plant by marmy1

Advantages: catches unwanted flies
Disadvantages: only drinks rain water

I have a baby venus fly trap at home and i didnt realise how difficult they are to look after. Firstly the plant can only have rain water so outside my window i have a bottle and a bucket waiting to collect any rain. This time of year it is easy but if we have a dry summer it could be difficult. (although this is england so having a dry summer is doubtful) Secondly it is very hard to find flies for them to eat. They obviously prefer live food but ...
...of the time i have to kill them i have to use twisers to move the fly in the trap so it closes. Again this time of year getting alot of flies is also hard. They can eat things like crickets but i gave it a ladybird that was dead and i think it has killed the trap . You also only need to feed them about once a week in winter. Also with the fly trap the trap dies after it has been fed about 3-4 times. It turns black and when this happens you have ... Read review

What about adopting one ?
Review of Spathiphyllum by crikivi

Advantages: Easy to cultivate
Disadvantages: Mine has flowered only one time since four years !!

...a lot of water Spathiphyllum became better...the day after... But it was the begin of misadventures. My mother's house has got wet air, my flat got dry air so even I do many vaporization, the plant shrivel up. So I buy a little equipment which does "smoke" water vapour. I had the key!! The last bad thing which happens is the adoption of a little cat who bite plants, disinter them and also urinated on them! As you can imagine all my plants died ...
Read review
