Manufacturer's product description
Speak your mind with precision during multiplayer gaming and Internet talk. The Plantronics .Audio 300 boasts noise-canceling technology that cuts through background clamor and conveys PC gaming, talking, voice recording, and video conferencing with crystal clarity. The .Audio 300 is plug-and-play ready and offers a convenient monitor mount attachment for rapid repositioning.
Advantages: Relatively Cheap. Disadvantages: Under performer...not overly comfortable to wear.
...Plantronics is one of the biggest names in headsets and has a wide range of products.
The .Audio 45 is lightweight with a very flexible headband, although it is a little on the flimsy side and not overly attractive.
The speaker drivers are constructed from hard plastic and are covered by thin pads. As a result, they aren't very comfortable to wear. Seperate cables come down from both sides, increasing the chances of getting yourself in a tangle.

Advantages: High quality sound and excellent microphone for Voip Disadvantages: I haven't found one flaw in over 2 years.
...I bought this headset after i got fed up with my old audio 90's messing up after a year or so. I bought my dsp 500's about 1 1/2 years ago. And today they are still like brand new no faults no decrease in sound quality or microphone quality.
This headset brought me everything i wanted precission sound to tell me where the enemy was, even if he only made 1 footstep i knew where he was. Also the Clarity on the microphone for Voip programes such as ventrilo and teamspeak is just truely amazing. People often ask me what microphone i have as its so clear without all the staticy sounds you get from cheap £2 microphones and has excellent noise canceling effects that cut out all the background noise in your home/LAN.
I would seriously recommend this to any gamer looking for a new headset. I've had it for 1 1/2 years and it hasnt broken or let...

Advantages: Durable, light, good microphone, inbuilt volume control/microphone mute slider Disadvantages: Mostly for business use/audioconferencing, model discontinued
...The Plantronics is a product essentially designed for use in the office environment. In terms of audiovisual conferencing, speech recognition or Internet telephony, the HS-1 is a great product. Its high-sensitivity adjustable microphone lets you place it for optimal sound quality, and the noise-cancelling system in place on the microphone means that speech-recognition systems are more accurate than with other cheaper headsets. However, it's also good for music, having 40mm speakers with excellent dynamic bass response. The microphone, of course, folds up out of the way when not in use.
The inbuilt volume control on the device's cable is surprisingly useful, being rather more accurate than some other models. However, it does produce one problem, which is that when sitting at a desk typing, as I am now, the volume control is placed...
