Plantronics .Audio 770 Headset

Advantages: Relatively Cheap.
Disadvantages: Under performer...not overly comfortable to wear.

...Plantronics is one of the biggest names in headsets and has a wide range of products. The .Audio 45 is lightweight with a very flexible headband, although it is a little on the flimsy side and not overly attractive. The speaker drivers are constructed from hard plastic and are covered by thin pads. As a result, they aren't very comfortable to wear. Seperate cables come down from both sides, increasing the chances of getting yourself in a tangle. This headset can be connected either by USB or standard analog connections. However, the microphone plug lacks colour coding, so you're forced to peer at the symbols on the connectors to find out which is which. this isn't too much of an issue, but it makes things more difficult when you're scrabbling about the back of your comnputer. ...The Plantronics DSP 400 headset is the perfect headset for anyone interested in Podcast making, internet calling or video gaming. I have owned this headset for many years now and it is a fantastic product. At the time, it cost £50 although I got it for £30. You'll be able to pick it up for a lot less now, and its certainly worth it! I use mine mainly for internet calling with my friends and the sound quality of the earphones is exemplary. In addition, the headset is noise canceling meaning that whilst you speak down it, the headset filters out that frustrating background noise most microphones give you. The headset also folds away so that it is small and can be stored easily.
