I bought this headset after i got fed up with my old audio 90's messing up after a year or so. I bought my dsp 500's about 1 1/2 years ago. And today they are still like brand new no faults no decrease in sound quality or microphone quality.
This headset brought me everything i wanted precission sound to tell me where the enemy was, even if he only made 1 footstep i knew where he was. Also the Clarity on the microphone for Voip programes such as ventrilo and teamspeak is just truely amazing. People often ask me what microphone i have as its so clear without all the staticy sounds you get from cheap £2 microphones and has excellent noise canceling effects that cut out all the background noise in your home/LAN.
I would seriously recommend this to any gamer looking for a new headset. I've had it for 1 1/2 years and it hasnt broken or let me down it anyway.

I was struggling to choose between the DSP-500, Plantronics top USB headset and more suitable for gaming, and the Audio 90, their Line-In/Microphone version and tailored for voice recognition and communication applications. In the end, I opted for the Audio 90 because I have a very good laptop and desktop sound card, and this headset would allow me to utilize their features for better sound quality. I would also be able to use this headset with other audio devices if desired. The price difference between the two - £40-£60 for the DSP-500 and £16-£25 for the Audio 90 might also have had just a little bit to do with my decision!
