These are wicked new handsfree devices suitable for all mobiles, and was released earlier this year. I've been using mine whenever I get the chance and have since didtched the motorola headset I was previously using. They come in 6 different colours and ave a silver earpiece and a silver voice piece end. You wear it by wrapping around your ear and have the bottom bit poking out from under your lobe and towards you lips.
The unique design of this little gadget is meant for ultimate comfort and so is flexiable and adjustable for all ear sizes and head shapes. Which I personally thought was great as I've got rater small ears and the handsfree gizmoz I'd tried before where way too big and always caused me pain.
My favourite part about this is not only does it ...
Advantages: Great volume , very light, works over long distances Disadvantages: Fiddly set-up
We use these headsets at work, and they are fantastic. In our industry we need the ability to use both hands whilst working. In the past we would hold the phone handset between our ears and our shoulders which, along with being quite uncomfortable, actually breaks the rules of health and safety!
The headset is light and you can easily forget you are wearing it. We did have someone finish a shift once and walk out of the room still wearing one! You can wear it on either the left or the rights ear thanks to the quick and easy clip on holder.
The battery is also fantastic. I haven't had it run out on me yet, but that is because everytime you take the headset off and place it back on it's holder it automatically starts charging the battery again. There is an orange light on the desk holder/charger to indicate a full or charging battery ...
Advantages: Relatively Cheap. Disadvantages: Under performer...not overly comfortable to wear.
Plantronics is one of the biggest names in headsets and has a wide range of products.
The .Audio 45 is lightweight with a very flexible headband, although it is a little on the flimsy side and not overly attractive.
The speaker drivers are constructed from hard plastic and are covered by thin pads. As a result, they aren't very comfortable to wear. Seperate cables come down from both sides, increasing the chances of getting yourself in a tangle.
This headset can be connected either by USB or standard analog connections. However, the microphone plug lacks colour coding, so you're forced to peer at the symbols on the connectors to find out which is which. this isn't too much of an issue, but it makes things more difficult when you're scrabbling about the back of your comnputer. There is a shirt clip, and a volume control ...
