Advantages: Noise reduction, comfortable, fully adjustable Disadvantages: Cord not long enough!
...This is possibly the best headset I've ever used. As it has dual earpieces, the noise of a busy sales office is cut down considerably. Also, the padded foam means that it sits comfortably on your ears and the adjustable head band fits from very small to very large heads! It simply plugs into a headset socket in the back of a telephone (if supported) or unplug the handset and replace with the headset. You do, however, still need to lift the handset to answer the call, but both hands are free during the call. Unfortunately, the cable supplied is not long enough, but I believe that it's possible to obtain longer cables.

Advantages: 3 different ear loop sizes, sturdy desktop charger Disadvantages: Not very easy to change between different bases
...Using this headset means that it is possible for me to do other things such as the ironing while talking on the phone, so saves me a lot of time. It is fairly easy to answer calls with, but the only substantial problem that I have found so far is that it is quite difficult to swap between different bases, as I have 2 phone lines in my house. Other than that, this headset works fine....

Advantages: Lightweight, Easy to use, Comfortable Disadvantages: Amplified Background noise, separate amplifier required for good volume control
...and the volume of the phone could only increase this marginally.
As such, I would highly recommend using an amplifier (also from Plantronics) between the headset and the phone. This allows the volume to be controlled fully and removes this as a potential downfall of the equipment.
One of my complaints with the headset is that the microphone appears to be more sensitive to background noise, compared to the tradtitional handset. On a small number of calls I have reverted to using the traditional handset over the headset due to the noise interference, however this does not happen often.
Overall, I would highly recommend this headset....

We use these headsets at work, and they are fantastic. In our industry we need the ability to use both hands whilst working. In the past we would hold the phone handset between our ears and our shoulders which, along with being quite uncomfortable,... more
