Perfection, at a hefty price. Advantages: Amazing TV, limited edition. Disadvantages: The price. When I heard that this TV was a 'limited edition', I pretty much bought it based on that. Given my recent coming into money, I thought it would be really cool to own a TV that only 1000 other people own, which it is. And it's an amazing TV to boot! Look and Design First thing you notice is that this TV is huge, at 50in it's like bringing the cinema to your living room. I also feel this TV makes a statement; people walk into your house, see ... ...a little bit worried about burglars now though. The marketers claim it 'harmonises elegantly with a wide spectrum of interior designs'. Which really is a mouthful to not say very much isn't it? But I have to agree, it does seem to go with pretty much anything. Our TV is Amazing! Advantages: Great TV Disadvantages: Expensive My dad has wanted a plasma TV for quite a while; so all of our shopping trips in at least the last 6 months have incorporated visiting electrical shops to look at TV's. The first few times were interesting but by the 20 or 30th time it was getting a little boring! So I am pleased to say we now own this TV so won't be spending hours looking at TV's in the shops. (Though he may move on to looking at something else!) This TV arrived at our house on ... ...months. We had it delivered from Curry's and I helped my dad set it up when I came in from school. It is quite heavy so it took both of to put it onto the stand. This was not my idea of fun on a Friday afternoon, however I persevered so we could watch the new TV that night! I am not very technical when it comes to TV’s so I thought I would look up what a plasma TV actually is. pioneer pdp506xde Advantages: clear and crisp view Disadvantages: exspensive WHY SHOULD YOU --------------------------- This is a quality tv which need's a big room to really show it off when one of my family first invited me round to see it i could'nt beleive the picture quality. Pioneer PDP 505XDE HD TV Review Advantages: State of the art sheer luxury, excellent design and drop dead sex appeal Disadvantages: Have you got a room which can cope with this monster or indeed the wallet? The chance to own such a TV comes around only when you have usually :- 1. Robbed a bank 2. Landed a windfall 3. Bought one knock off from the local pub 4. Borrow your rich mates flat and claim you live there I actually managed to look after my mates flat and lo and behold his new toy was sat in corner or should I say the wall was built around the TV!! There is every single sort of option which you could ever need in a TV including its own tuner, ... ...is HDTV enabled which means it's going to be future proof for a long time to come. The screen size does come in various sizes but I had chance to watch the 50" version which is the grand-daddy of them all, smaller screen sizes equate to lower prices. Best TV on market today Advantages: Looks great.......... sounds great..........picture great.......... Disadvantages: None ...from manufacturers we decided the Pioneer PDP-LX5080D looked by far the best. We bought the TV in February of this year and can only say it has been money very very very well spent. We have it wall mounted and the Kuro picture quality is second to none. Everything about this flat screen plasma TV is fabulous. Just be careful when buying as ours did not come with speakers (although they were offered for sale seperately), we did not want speakers and ...
