Great, solid performer...........recommended

Disadvantages: Can't get the Sky remote to operate the TV!

Bought this set approx 2.5 years ago in the days when you had to pay the £1400 price..........overall not disappointed. I've encountered no problems throughout ownership and the build quality seems good. I've currently just got the TV linked up to Sky digital and a dvd player and it copes well with both, however when watching sports and films the TV really performs great with nice sharp pictures and colours and good deep blacks (not a variation ...
...not supporting 1080p HD this TV still performs great when hooked up to a 1080i HD signal (which it does dupport).......so HD DVD players, XBox 360 and Xbox HD drive owners at the price this TV will satisfy all of your needs. The features and conections on this TV are also all easily accesable. If I was to have one slight gripe it would be that no matter how hard I try I can not find a code that will allow a Sky remote to be programmed to operate ...

Home Movie

Advantages: Large screen, hdmi, HD ready, Freeview built in, Power swivel, SD card reader.
Disadvantages: Didn't come with a RF lead.....thats about it.

Is Bigger Better??

Advantages: Ditachable Speakers, large screen

Hitachi reassure customers that you wont get screen burn on this set as it takes around 28 hours to get screen burn which will fade once another program/film is viewed and any effect that is there will be unseen within a couple of hours. There is little to no ghosting on the screen from any angle which is great for a plasma. In conclusion a great value for money home cinema television if you've got the spare cash! ...
