Great value Plasma Advantages: Superb picture quality Disadvantages: Bulky stand isn't particularly svelte and might not to be everybody's liking. ...always had good experiences of Panasonic products, so got the Panny for just £400 online in October 2009 and am very pleased with it so far. It's very easy to set up. I mainly view live football, DVDs and Xfactor. Samsinging for Samsung Advantages: Looks the business. Major value for money Disadvantages: the on and off noise may annoy some people. I think you can turn it off though ...stylish and signature red of samsung along the bottom really makes the TV look expensive......but it was not. We paid just £449 for a 42 inch TV that actually has a higher spec than my old one. The picture is great, the menus are easy and it quirkily has a greeting and goodbye tune it plays when on and off!!! Pointless but my last one didn't and i like it!
