The low cost of media makes this technology ideal for small- to mid-sized companies that need an affordable way to archive, duplicate, distribute and share data inside or outside the organization. Secure and centralized CD management Plasmon's 120mm Libraries provide a turnkey solution which includes a choice of drive configurations, media magazines and an import/export mechanism. Libraries seamlessly integrate with storage management software and CD-based document management applications. Plus, 120mm technology is multi-media and multi-format; libraries are scalable to DVD-RAM technology for even greater storage capability in the future. Plasmon's 120mm Libraries utilize disk magazines containing 10 CDs, making offline disk importing and exporting a fast and easy operation. Disks can also be conveniently added and removed individually when the library is online by using the single disk import/export slot. Flexible drive configurations are available in two basic configurations, each offering capacities of 120, 240 or 480 disks. Media is stored using thin trays to rapidly move the CDs within the unit. Plus, Plasmon's patented double picker technology holds two disks simultaneously - providing rapid disk exchanges and faster performance in a multi-user environment. This robust mechanical design delivers a reliability of more than 1 million exchanges between failure and quick swapping of drives to minimize down time.
