Advantages: Lots of features, fast, top of the line PDA. Disadvantages: Price, Battery.
...more at a time.
This PDA has both Bluetooth (for Phone file transfer, and for using it as a dial-up internet connection) and WiFi (to connect to wireless hot spots for internet etc).
The unit has a large VGA (640*480) screen, which is the resolution you'd expect on a high-end device such as this. Thanks to the graphics card you can also plug the PDA into a Projector/Monitor using an optional VGA cable, however it will only output at 640*480.
The battery lasts between 1:10 to 1:40 depending on the screen brightness, and bigger batteries can be purchased for the unit.
It's a little thicker than i'd like.
It has 2 buttons on the side, a lock switch, 4 more buttons on the front, a 4 way d-pad and "enter" selector and an On/Off button, the "ordinary" buttons can be reprogrammed to do what you like inside the operating system.
The PDA...

Libretto 70 Review ofToshiba Libretto Seriesby
paulo
Advantages: Disadvantages:
...This machine could have been so perfect, but has one failing. I'll come on that.
First of all, let's talk about the Libretto series. This is the range of 'Tosh' notebooks which are much the same size as a VHS library case.
The series started with the 30, which was underpowered. Then the 50, then the 70, 100, 110, 1000, etc.
What I like about the 70 is that it's just about powerful enough for sensible work (P120), but it still retains the small size. The later models all started to get bigger.
It's great for writing on the train. With a big laptop I'd feel quite conspicuous, but with my little Libby I don't feel like I'm being noticed.
So what's that problem I mentioned? It's the screen. A beautiful crystal clear screen, but only 640 x 480 pixels. Just about all modern software is written for minimum 800 x 600 pixels, so the Libby...

Advantages: Price Disadvantages: CMOS based webcams need lots of light
...I bought my Quickcam just so I could have Netmeetings with a friend. So I was on the lookout for the cheapest possible cam. For the price, you get a good package, I think. The cam itself has a base that I guess is meant to sit on top of your monitor, although you can mount it on a tripod if you want to.
It's based on CMOS tchnology, which in terms of picture quality is not as good as 'conventional' webcam CCDs. CMOS cams need A LOT of light to give good results. I found a desk light was a must have.
Although the documentation doesn't say so, the cam can capture up to 640x480, although video is very slow at this high resolution. For stills though, this is very handy to know.
The Logitech software lets you capture stills or short AVI videos, adjust contrast, brightness levels etc and is entirely usable. There is a 'patch' available...

This is a fantastic little phone!
At first, I was a little upset at the camera quality - being a 5MP camera, you expect a lot from this little thing, so first shots were disappointing, but when you get the right settings for photos - WOAH! this camera... more

I am by no means an expert photographer, but do have a basic understanding. I have used various Fuji, Olympus and Canon compact digitals before buying this Fuji F480.
