...Our household now has two Dell Dimension 2400 computers such was are satisfaction with the quality of the product. Coming in a more fashionable black exterior they also look much better. We were also surprised how easy it was to setup the machine, leads are colour coordinated with the plugs and the diagram showing how everything went together gets 10/10 from me especially when compared to quick-fit furniture.
---Price---
Not the cheapest of computers, but you paying for the service really as there has been no major problem whatsoever with the system. The price of the computer in question is approx £700, but the price always changes every month or two so keep an eye out for the best deals. In addition keep a look out for special offers which change often e.g at the time of writing if you get 80gb hard drive you can upgrade to 120gb...

...When I upgraded to a 64 bit AMD Athlon, I upgraded a few other bits and pieces too. A new graphics card, new hard drive, and new CD-Rom drive, along with the new CPU, my old power supply just wasn't capable.
I wanted a strong supply, at a budget price, and Q-Tec seemed to fit the bill quite nicely, at the price I was dubious but the PSU has performed admirably now for well over a year.
The PSU is cooled by three fans, 2 x80mm, and 1 x 120 mm, which you would expect to be noisy, but this wasn't the case. The quoted noise level of 29 dB seems nothing compared to another fan within my case. These fans are temperature controlled, so when the PSU is doing very little, there is little noise coming from the fans.
The package contents are, the PSU, and not a lot else. Think a little manual wouldn't have gone a miss, maybe it was just...

...that the keyboard can also be larger. This is great when it comes to touchtyping as the keys are not too small or too close together that you mistype.
There are loads of extras that all built in such as fingerprint recognition, cameras, memory card slots and an easy to turn on wireless switch.
With 1 GB of ram, 2GHZ Pentium processor and 2 x80GB hard drives it's quick and has loads of space for data.
Whislt the initial price is high it is a good quality machine and you get what you pay for. To date I've not had any problems with it at all and it is used 5 days a week for 10 hours a day. Although you should be careful what you place it on as it does throw out a lot of heat, your lap may not be the best place for it!...
