Manufacturer's product description
Plasmon M-Series libraries are an ideal storage solution for data-intensive applications requiring nearline access speeds. MO drives are multi-functional, providing the benefits of both ReWritable and CCW WORM (Write One Read Many) technology. They are a great alternative for multi-user, 24x7 network environments. These libraries offer faster access speeds and are considerably less expensive than alternative solutions. MO technology is best suited for fast access and long-term archival for random-access data patters, especially if a WORM solution is needed. And with an archival media life of a minimum of 30 years, magneto-optical WORM (Write Once Read Many) media is the media of choice for data archival applications.

There is also a PCI-E x1 slot and two PCI slots. The Southbridge supports RAID 0 or 1 for the pair of SATA connectors and there are four USB 2.0 ports on the I/O panel...
