Sitting Target

Advantages: Simple fun, parachute jumps are cool
Disadvantages: No ambition, derivative mission design, short, poor visuals

Medal of Honor’s fourth and final PS2 outing is a dishearteningly threadbare effort. Vanguard is desperately short on new ideas and content, whilst it’s ageing game engine and misguided emphasis on the ‘squad’ element make it feel like an anaemic Call of ...

The Best First Person Shooter.. Now On PS2

Advantages: The definitive multiplayer FPS.. now on your favourite console
Disadvantages: Comparatively poor graphics, lack of multi-player options.

Welcome to the... Past Unreal was a revolutionary game when it was released for the PC… over two years ago. Sure, it never quite caught on and dominated the market in the way that the classics from Id always have, but it raised the bar of graphics exelle ...

Advantages: Online mayhem!
Disadvantages: Must fork out for a keyboard to take full advantage

GORE FEST...

Advantages: Loads of gore, if you're into that
Disadvantages: The levels become samey and repetetive

Unreal is like any other PC game I have played, mainly because it features the most blood. I was repeatedly harassed by my so-called 'mates' to buy it, so I did. I was promised action and blood, along with months of entertainment, sadly, only two of thos ...

As Un-PC As It Is Unreal

Advantages: Decent graphics and music, fairly fast FPS action
Disadvantages: Lack of quick restart, only 4 competitors in multiplayer, action a bit choppy

Whilst the PS2 Analogue Control did the job, I friggin loathed having an action mapped to the L3 and R3 buttons - in particular the auto-center for the former. The game is USB keyboard and mouse compatible, and would have allowed me to avoid this. Ther ...
