...a different direction for the Need For Speed franchise but a good step in my opinion. The graphics are all round spectacular although the replay camera angles could do with a bit of work. There is a great selection of cars to be chosen which are categorized into 4 different tiers ranging from tier 1's Mazda RX7 upto tier 4's Bugatti Veyron and the Koeninzegg CCX. Race Driver Grid is an excellent new offering from those who used to offer us up the TOCA racing games all those years back.
This is a terrific game with numerous different racing styles, glorious graphics, amazing audio and such an addictive speed about it.
The racing varieties available mean that every racer should be covered and with a different feel to each different racing variety you never get bored or feel like you understand the full dynamics ... ...you have raced hard and come first you have the joys of the replay showing it and how accurate your driving style is with the numerous movements of the front wheels but the part that now makes this game even more amazing is that you build points as you gain results which adds such a new slant on this game style that it is likely to open this up to a new market.

...of racing car games especially gran turismo when you have to earn the liscences and build up your cars to win the races so was a little dissapointed when playing this game when it was released. It doesnt seem anything like the other four titles as for liscencing or car upgrading which dont seem to exist on this game. I also found that there was a limited number of tracks to play on which after a little while gets boring because they are so easy to ... ...cars (the best bit in this game) they were quite good until i realised i couldnt take them to a gargage to upgrade. Its basically buying a car winning a few races on the same track with it.... buying a new car and doing the same thing... game finished. Although the graphics in gameplay were good :O) I ended up selling my game within the first 2 weeks of it being released and wouldnt go there again. ...

Motorstorm is a new age racing game which basically creates a whole new genre whilst managing to bring amazing graphics to the the table in a brutal racer and for once creating a game that still feels like it is worthwhile.
Playstation has always been know for great racing games and has always pushed the boundaries of imagination to the furthest limits and Motorstorm is the newest of these original style games.
This game is set in the middle of ... ...and where super charged turbo boost is something that done right will win the race but done wrong will set your entire vehicle on fire.
This game is an adreneline fest which throws new exciting challenges up and has an amazing yet brutal control system mixed with stunning graphics and terrific audio to make the entire experience a fast paced and stunning game that you can play over and over and never tire of.

...fan of the original PlayStation Colin McRae Rally games, I had never spent that much time on the PS2 CMR games they just didn't keep my attention and draw me in, I kept them saying to myself I would play them again, but I rarely seemed to. This games seems to have gone back to the amount of fun of the early CMR games with arcade racing back not seen since CMR2 (maybe it was in CMR5?) and all sorts of other types of racing, and even some obscure types ... ...the sake of fun. Multiplayer online mode basically consists of people simultaneously racing at the same time on the same track to see who can make the fastest time, you can see where you are in relation to the other people in the race, its pretty basic but not bad. Of course as this is the first next gen CMR game it's not all give, I have yet to come across a night race or snow, the amount of countries seems to have shrunk to only 7, and you can't ...
