A Absolute must have
Advantages: great to play Disadvantages: not the cheapest
First off im a big fan of the COD serious having played nothing but COD 4 and COD-WAW since owning a Ps3. Having played a bit of the Campaign mode and the multiplayer i would comment as follows: The Campaign mode is very impressive, fantastic graphics, good playability, atmosphere, all the stuff which previously made the series so brilliant. The multiplayer (for which i mainly bought the game for) i found to be ever so slightly dissapointing, main ... ...previous review mentions) this causes it to slightly loose a bit of the gritty 'realism' that COD 4 had, and for me that takes the edge off things. I guess the idea here is to appeal to an even wider audience but why change something that doesnt need fixing and risk allienating an already established hard-core following. Second up is the maps, these take some getting used to as in this game you'l be playing alot more tacticly, that is to say there ...

call of duty 4: modern warfare, amazing first person shooter
Advantages: great game you can play forever! Disadvantages: you can stop playing it!
...game continues perfectly what the call of duty range is all about, great first people shooter gaming. this offer great 'missions' in offline play which interesting and hard enough to keep you entertain, but the main feature i like about this game is the online matches, you can play this game online for months with getting bored, due to the range of different types of game and every time you play you have different opinion. This game offers a great ...

Good online war game
Advantages: Good online game Disadvantages: Takes some getting used to
The Call of Duty series continues to impress with this addition to the family. World at War is set during World War two, the story mode takes you through many different historic battles fighting as a character from the many different countries involved such as American, Russian, German and Japan.
You move through each level fighting alongside your squad members, which are controlled by the computer. There is a fantastic choice of weapons through ... ...WW2 as well as the well as the clothing and scenery. This together with great graphics and user friendly controls gives a very realistic war game indeed.
The one player mode only scratches the surface of what this shooter has to offer. Going online really opens up a world of options giving this game a lifespan perhaps 100 fold of what any shooter could have prior to the introduction of online gaming. Online you can play though the story mode with ...

The daddy of all shooters returns - and he's a bit creepy...
Advantages: Graphics. Disadvantages: Lack of innovation.
...1992, this next-gen reboot of Wolfenstein 3D has received a surprisingly lukewarm reception from most quarters. While the first game made headlines with its revolutionary 3D blasting, Swatstika-decorated walls, exploding Nazis and, most memorably of all, an actual RoboHitler, Wolfenstein 2009 has been criticised for its lack of innovation and formulaic approach. You can understand why: in 1992, it was the first of its kind; in 2009, it's coming into ... ...been the case with the Wolfenstein series, realism and originality go out the window and in come big guns, plenty of splatter and lots and lots of Nazis. There's a couple of concessions to 21st Century gaming (not least the ability to switch to a spooky supernatural realm called The Veil, where you can effect changes in the real world), but mostly it's predict-o-gaming ported in from the early '90s, only with a hardware upgrade. The results are charming ...

Nearly but not quite
Advantages: Very realistic,Nice effect,Great sounds Disadvantages: A.I is stupid,Few bugs
Ok so where to start on this game, Well looking on youtube for gameplay videos it did look very realistic. So i decided to buy the game from "Game" and try it out. I started straight away with the campain and set up my login. When it first loaded i was impressed by the games graphics and how realistic it 'felt'. However i did find that the A.I seemed to be pretty much dumb. I mean at times i ran into enemy soliders only for them to look at me in ... ...at me, which while on the subject they dont seem to be able to hit a barn door given the chance. There also seems to be a few bugs like the usual from OFP, mens head going through boxes when lying down that sort of stuff as well as some other ones like a helicopter falling out the sky and not exploding...very strange. I did notice some cool effect in the way of smoke and explosions and i must say the sounds are A+ they really are great make up half ...
