Design and Appearance It’s another year and that means another console, the PS vita is currently the most advanced handheld console on the market today. The vita is an upgraded version of the PSP and at first glance this looks very similar like you would expect it to. The vita is a lot bigger and bulkier than the PSP but it strangely doesn’t feel enormous and it’s surprisingly lightweight. I purchased the Vita thinking that it would revolutionize the way I played handheld games, but so far in it's lifespan, it has not. When I opened the box I was surprised at the simplicity and sleekness of the device, it's very aesthetically pleasing and once you start playing with it you get used to it pretty quickly. The OS that the Vita runs is a bit more similar to a smartphone than anything Sony has done on a game system before, and the option to multitask is very helpful.
