There are many play doh kits that are made by Hasbro I noticed when I was at my daughters that my grandson was playing with playdoh and a plastic shaped person that had the chest and tummy like a tray. I realised this was part of the playdoh operation set.

With this set comes a pot of flesh pink doh, a green doh , a red doh and a white doh tub. Also included is a pair of tweezers, a syringe and a rolling pin an extruder. There are also plastic moulds for making the organs of the body, heart, lungs, intestines, kidneys.
Age suitability. Adrian is 4 and enjoys playing with this I think it is suitable for a child of 3 upwards; of course the way they use it will differ.
Ease of use.
Playdoh is an easy to use modelling medium soft and squidgy mould well and a child can form shapes with it by rolling out cutting or putting in moulds. The plastic shapes provided are easy to use.
Play value
This set can be used by a child on his/her own just making shapes that might be a tummy, a heart you can talk about inside his her tummy and talk about pains and operations doctors do to make people better. Adrian's other Grandfather is going into hospital soon to have a kidney removed so his mum and dad can explain this a little to Adrian using the play doh and the operation set. I think this set is useful to make a child aware that inside him/her are organs which work to keep people alive and to show them that food goes into their tummy.
This toy could be used by an older child in a game operation to see who can get the organs out of the playdoh body easily.
Who knows if your child plays with this he/she may become interested in becoming a doctor.

the first items your child will make is a snake or worm, maybe a ball or a snail.
This barrel of doh can be used for solitary play or co-operativeplay with a group of children sharing the dough and the cutters there is enough dough for several children to use.
Remember play is children's work except we do not call it work when working / playing with playdoh your child is learning developing creativity and imagination.
Playdoh helps develop finger control developing muscles and keeping fingers active we use this as a tool for helping the disabled pupils hand control at my workplace. Developing their muscles by squeezing the playdoh in hands and rolling it out with hands to make long sausages. (Playdoh would I think be a useful medium for using with sufferers of arthritis to help keep hands mobile squeezing ands rolling playdoh.) Playdoh ...

Play-Doh Operation is just like the famous game! Prepare the patient by squeezing out and moulding the insides. Will he have butterflies in his tummy or a frog in his throat!?
