Playing for Pizza is an another fantastic story written by John Grisham.
The action is happening in Italy where hated american Football player signed the contract with local semi-pro team.
Grisham is painting an amazing picture of the area around that personally it made me want to go there myself. I guess it is also good book for Italian food lovers as the finest italian dishes have been described with absolute precision. It really makes you feel hungry for a while.At some point i thought it is a cook book or a travel guide to Italy. :)
The story itself is really good and the main character is a very interesting person who is trying to adapt in new environment , that includes small cars and tiny road comparing to United States. Slowly he is falling in love with the country and everything around, even with the Italian opera.
Personally i wouldn't ever place this book in thrillers category, but i did enjoyed every page of this book.
