I usually have nothing but praise for Playmobil, and to a great extent that former stance is mimicked here. Once again Playmobil had made a product of high quality, yet the overall value is mitigated by a frightfully high price that seems unnecessary despite the level of craftsmanship.
Included with the set are a boat, transport trailer, and winch, as well as a few other accessories. If the boat is placed in water (as it does float), the trailer's attached winch can be used to draw the vessel outside of the water to be driven away, although the set includes no vehicle to actually perform the road transportation.
One of the more unique features on board is a water hose at the helm which squirts water if pumped, but the overall pressure is far too weak to actually be realistic. The surrounding accessories are similarly limited, and the single figure seems out of place in a set requiring at least two people to realistically maneuver the ship unto land and into the bed of the trailer. I found this particularly lacking, and hopefully Playmobil will fix the issue in the near future with other playsets.
While the set itself is not that bad, the pricing is rather ridiculous by most considerations. Coming in at a hefty 16.50 pounds, it is far too high for what is included, and thus I do not recommend purchasing it.
