It's neither muckiling nor mickling. Advantages: allmost every situation in the book will have been experienced in one point of your life so it is great to look back and laugh Disadvantages: none, no disadvantages at all ...I could empathise with billy and his thoughts on the place he lived. However, there is absolutely no reason why people from all over the country (all over the world in fact) should not read this book. i can honestly tell you that there were parts in this book which literally made me cry with laughter, tears actually rolled down my eyes and to be honest, it takes something very amusing to make me laugh like that. The characters are almost tangable ... ...remembering myself in very similar situations with my own mum and dad and laughing out loud at some of the replies billy comes out with after recieveing a severe roasting from his parents. Take a Letter Miss Jones...the news is good. Advantages: A powerful piece of live theatre Disadvantages: None With interest in Blood Brothers revived through the canny decision to cast Mel C in the role of Mrs Johnstone, I thought I'd pen some thoughts. I've seen the West End production an embarassing number of times now (well into the double digits!) and almost always, have had every emotional button pushed. More of a play with songs, than a musical, the show lacks the gloss of Wicked or the gasp inducing sets of Phantom. But what it does have is a very ... ...report back when I do. Spanish Romeo and Juliette, only better and more interesting! Advantages: Beautifully written, full of passion and Fatality Disadvantages: It all can depend on what translation you get ...directions, however I couldn’t put Blood Wedding down. I must say now that this next part of the review contains some spoilers, although I knew what was going to happen before I read it and still found it brilliant and shocking. Lorca himself grew up in rural Spain, and this upbringing can clearly be seen to influence his later work, especially in Blood Wedding. The play is set in rural Spain where the land is dry and therefore goof, fertile land ... ...is a bad translation. As Blood Wedding is originally written in Spanish, it is important to make sure that you get a good translation in order to fully appreciate the language and so that the text still makes sense. I have seen that some translations may have entire sentences different to others. The translation I have got is brilliant. It is the Methuen Student Edition translated by Gwynne Edwards. Lovely Advantages: very satisfying Disadvantages: none ...Caryl Churchill's Heart's Desire and Blue Kettle (both found in Blue Heart) may be a challenge to read, but both prove worth the effort. Simultaneously approaching the deconstruction of language and the deconstruction of the family and interpersonal relations, the two pieces leave nothing in question about Churchill's brilliance. As I said this is a very tough read but satisfies in a way I cannot describe. formally brilliant Advantages: form Disadvantages: plot This is hardly a play. It is the skeleton of a play and this is how it was intended. A minor competition was set-up between the two great playwrights of the time Racine and Corneille to address the tale of Titus and Berenice, who loved but could stay together due to the political situation. Corneille produced a work with a mass of peripheral intrigue and Racine stripped down the play to 3 characters and no action.
