Rosencrantz and Guildernstern are dead
Advantages: brilliantly funny Disadvantages: some of the meaning is lost if you ahvent seen or read Hamlet.
This is a great play to read. But very difficult to perform. Though Stoppards stage directions are extensive and detailed, the interchangeability of the characters and the actual idea of the play, serving to fill in time before the characters are "on stage" in Hamlet, lead to it being difficult to fully place the characters. though saying that, the production of the play i ahve seen have tackeled the daunting prspect with a vigour, and ahve mangeded ... ...way. But this is one of the best plays ive read in a long time. its hillariously funny, pacey and brilliantly written. You do need some knowledge of Hamlet to be able to understand some of the irony, but its great if youve got a couple of hours. Yourgonna need it. ...

'Weak men must fall'
Advantages: Poetic & profound Disadvantages: Language might put some off
...story of two men. Richard is the rightful king who, unfortunately, isn't very good at it. He's selfish, capricious, and rather irritating, but he is still the rightful king. By comparison, the other man whose name is Bolingbroke, would make a much better king than Richard, but has no real claim on the throne. Like all Richard's subjects, he has also sworn an oath of fealty to the king.
~~THE PLOT (in 30 words)~~
In brief, Richard unfairly banishes ... ...deposes Richard (who is ultimately killed), and becomes Henry the Fourth Parts One and Two.
~~THE QUESTIONS RAISED~~
Willy weaves a gripping tale that explores the question of who is right from various angles and does not provide an easy solution. In the end, the audience are left to make up their own minds. Was Bolingbroke right to break his promises and commit treason in order to rid the country of an unworthy king? Or was he just peeved at being ...

richard
Advantages: great read Disadvantages: hard to understand if you are new to old english
...William Shakespeare wrote the play Richard III in 1591. Commonly known as a history play, although it can be thought of as belonging under each category of plays Shakespeare wrote: History, Problem, Tragedy and comedy. Historical as the main plot of the play is true, however some facts may be untrue as to fit the Tudor myth. Problem play, because Richard kill's everyone in his way, death and destruction linger in his path.Tragedy play, as Richard ... ...win over many people.
Richard is the younger brother of King Edward IV, Often called an anti hero because he fights the hero, Richard takes Shakespeare's audience on an adventurous journey of murder and deceit as he steals the crown off of his own blood and draws battle with Richmond to save his kingship. Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare's classic creation
Advantages: Inspiring, relevant to today's society as much as in Shakespeare's time Disadvantages: perhaps a difficult read for some
...favourite plays by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet is the story of young love in it's enslaved wildness, innocence and beauty. There is a comic element to the romance which turns darker with the conflict of opposing families. I feel that the characters Romeo and Juliet are often used as archetypes for young lovers but this play is not only a love story. It represents also the power of social structure to influence the decisions and opportunities ... ...conflict and the refusal to let go of old wounds does not protect us or our families but is eventually self destructive. The tragedy of love is also portrayed not only in the constraints which prevent it's expression but also in the way love evolves in a relationship, often losing it's sweet innocence. ...

Death of a Salesman - The tragedy of a broken man.
Advantages: Literature at its finest, the rare tale of an anti-hero who just gives in Disadvantages: Not for everyone
...to publish it again.
Death of a Salesman is a play, written by the late, highly respected Arthur Miller. Miller was not a prolific playwright, and Death of a Salesman is one of his few but most famous works.
The genre of the play is essentially a tragedy although not in the typical sense. Miller wanted to challenge the typical literary device of tragedy which has always been a person of high stature falling out of power because of a fatal flaw. ... ...-Symbolism and Motifs- Death of a Salesman is littered with symbols and motifs that constantly remind Willy of his past and often trigger flashbacks. For example, Linda is always darning stockings, and these remind Willy of his infidelity because he gave stockings to the woman he had an affair with. Diamonds represent wealth and therefore Willy's failure to become successful like his brother. Other symbols and motifs to look out for when reading/watching ...
