...years old connected with a salamander pump. The pump was making a lot of noise and we called a salamander technician to check it.
He claimed that it would have been better replace it and he reccommended a specific model, saying vaguely that it would have been better to increase the cold water storage capacity
After a year and half (warrenty not expired) the pump makes noise again. we called salamander... FIRST problem: it's really hard to get to ... ...problem and he claims that salamander as well as other companies do everything they can to invalidate warrenties, sometimes blaming rounds in pipes if they didn't do the installation, so watch out!!
As he suggested, I'm considering installing an UNVENTED SYSTEM, which may cost a bit more as starting point, but will get rid of the pump (and its noise) and of the old water tank, becuase it works on the cold water pressure.
