Advantages: A varied collection of great Poets and great Poetry in one book. Disadvantages: If you like Poetry, none at all!
....
The last poem I 'have' to include is from ' Twelve songs' by W.H.Auden. This is a fantastic poem. It is about the loss of someone. It is an elegy.
W.H. AUDEN 1907-73

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;

Advantages: a treat for those who love clasical literature Disadvantages: not for the readers of modern literature
...I find this collection of poems to be a treat for any person's mind. These poems take its reader back in time way back to the 17th century. For a lover of clasical literature, Browing's poems bring true delight to one's heart. In short, this is indeed a precious collection to posses and I cherished every moment of time I spent reading these wonderful set of poems.
I would like to add a word of caution for those of you who love contemporary works. Please stay away from this book. This is a collection of long poems written with traditional usage of words.
This book contains many of his earlier and later poems, such as 'Johannes Agricola in Meditation,' 'My Last Duchess,' 'Caliban on Setebos,' 'Fra Lippo Lippi' and 'Bishop Blugram's Apology'....

The last Poem in her book is about cold. Now the weather is getting colder I shall tell this to the children.
Cold fingers,
Cold toes,
Pink sky,
pink nose.
Hard ground,
Bare trees,
Branches crack.
Puddles freeze
Frost white,
Sun red
Warm room,
warm bed.
