Been racking my brains whether to publish this but my Bro said that he would like me too.

His son, my oldest Nephew, died at the age of 18 after a car accident, early December 2006.

We are all finding it very difficult to get back into the swing of being more than just ghosts of our former selves.

For you 'blue' and your Father.

SAPPHIRES
When you arrived on this cold world
Your eyes were open from the first
They were a sparkling Sapphire blue
Too beautiful for this earth

We'd tuck you into bed at night
And hold your tiny hand so tight
You'd cuddle up to your Loy Loy bear
And get a great big kiss goodnight

On Saturday's we'd shop up town
We'd walk that well worn mile
Friend's would stroke your fine blonde hair
And laugh at your cheeky smile

As you grew up you grew so broad
And life took up new pace
It almost seemed you knew too much
You lived life like a race

Your little brother and sister
Would wait at the airport with glee
And as soon as you stepped off the plane
It was Jemmy, please irritate me

And you would quickly sweep them up
And whirl them in the air
You'd play with them for hours and they would shout
That's my big brother there

With your swimming and your kick-boxing
You put yourself to the test
When I clicked on the internet
It flashed first place and personal best!

As time went on you took your exams
And prepared to leave your school
You passed the lot, we were so proud
You were nobody's fool

I don't know why, I never said
I always had a feeling
That you were too beautiful for this world
And soon you would be leaving

As I sat in that hospital
Held your hand in that strange room
I knew you had already gone
That you had left too soon

I know that I can see you again
If I close my eyes real tight
And concentrate in the darkness
I can see Sapphires in the night

Wow! I have gone goosey all over. This is so beautifully written. So sad but the words say it all, so many memories and I am sure he is still around to remind you. .....Elinor
