POKEMON GOLD.
Review of Pokemon Gold (GB) by jaimiet2001

Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: see op

Pokemon gold is a legend, it is a cool game for young people. If you like pokemon the cartoon you’ll love this game. In pokemon you have your own mobile phone and your own radio. You fight different gym leaders and different trainers in order to obtain badges, which are used to get into the pokemon league. The pokemon league is like a tournament of fights and the winner gets a load of money, and your pokemon will be placed in the hall of fame. ...
...reach the pokemon league, although you must have 16 badges. In the beginning of the game you meet Professor Oak he asks your name and the player is free to make up any name that they wish. You arer then placed in your house. You then walk into Professor Elms (I know they’re both named after tree’s how strange) lab. Prof. Elm then gives you a choice of three pokemon, which are not visible to the player as they are in egg-like things called ... Read review

Is pokemon worth the fuss?
Review of Pokemon Gold (GB) by Secre

Advantages: Good fun, hours of play,
Disadvantages: Wasted time, more cash paid out.

Who'd have thought that when Pokemon first came out as a minor TV series that it would hit Great Britain like a bomb. Video games, card games, Movies and cartoons - we couldn't get enough of these wierd creatures in a completly new world. So is it worth all the fuss that it has been given? Well I'd say yes. So far in game boy games we've had red, blue and yellow and then they bought out Gold and silver and I am here to review Gold. Yet another ...
...with to gain all the pokemon in the world which could be counted as completly fleeceing you of money as you now need all the games (red, blue & silver) to get all the pokemon and finish the game. But despite this is it worth it? The game like the other games involves exploring two worlds now, collecting 251 pokemon and taking part in pokemon battles against ordinary trainers up the leage to 2 worlds gym leaders and finally the elite 4. The battle ... Read review

The new craze - bring it on
Review of Pokemon Gold (GB) by chillaman

Advantages: to see the little childrens faces on christmas day
Disadvantages: can be a nightmare to find the present you want

...in america it has been pokemon gold and silver for the gameboy that have been all the rage and even some people in england have had to resort into paying much higher prices to have them sent over from the states. My advice to you is that if this christmas your child wants the new game then try out the online action sites. Honestly ebay particularly is very useful for getting things cheaper and the people that sell things on there are generally really ... Read review

Poke Pants
Review of Pokemon Gold (GB) by  Ian2001

Advantages: New features.
Disadvantages: Poor graphics, sound and battle screen.

...Pokemon Gold. What new game will they come up with next? Pokemon Golder? This is a very disappointing release from Nintendo. I will explain the positive and negative points about the game as fully as I can. THE GAME Once again, you start off in your home town, where you are given a Pokemon and a map. You start off on your quest to defeat the 8 gym leader Pokemon trainers and capture all of the Pokemon on the island. Haven't we been here before? This is exactly the same as the other versions! It has the same old dull battle screen and the boring cities with the unhelpful citizens. The graphics are exactly the same but there are a few extra colours! NEW FEATURES The new features in the game are an extra 100 Pokemon, so now there are 251 to catch and there are 10 brand new towns to visit. There is also a new phone feature so you... Read review

harder but better
Review of Pokemon Gold (GB) by  steveymacca

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...the first thing that you notice about this game is that it is considerably more dvanced than either red or blue.the graphics are much improved and there are more features such as a telephone to communicate and front, left, side and back pockets. i have only got a little way into the game so far before becoming stuck after about ten mins.the principle is still the same as its ancestors-walking around collecting and fighting pokemon, talking to weird people and enjoying your own 'pokemon adventure'.this game will take a lot more time than the twenty four hours it took me to complete red!... The TV show was bad enough
Review of Pokemon Gold (GB) by  Golden_groin2001

Advantages: Good fun, Breeding feature
Disadvantages: For younger children, too much like the first two

...I was shocked when one of my best friends turned up for school with a Gameboy containing a red cartridge, I had no idea that this particular game would be one of the biggest phenomenon's to hit the toy world. I decided to buy the blue version and I have to admit I did enjoy playing it. It was a pretty fun game and it was very easy to play. The seaquels came out earlier this year and even though I liked the first one I decided I had grown too old to be playing childrens games. However, shortly after my birthday I got ill, I don't know if this was the reason but I ended up with a copy of the gold version. I had already played a sample of it on the net but it was all in Japanese and so I still enjoyed playing. I was a little disapointed with the new game as in my opinion it was too much like the first one. There are some good... Read review
