For any fan of the pokemon series, Pokemon Platinum is an amazing and brilliant game to own. This game is the third installment to the games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl and has many more features. The storyline is similar to the other two games and to every other pokemon game which is to fight through a building filled with trainers from an evil organisation. The battles here are monotonous and not very difficult to win. This aside, the game is brilliant in terms of gameplay with many pokemon to catch and a lot of legendary pokemon to keep you busy trying to get them. Even after the game is beaten there is a lot to do, train pokemon, catch them all, battle with friends, it could never end.

The graphics of this game are stunning. The Nintendo DS' 3D capabilities are really put to good use everywhere in the game and for a handheld game, the graphics are second to none. Battle animations are also great effects within the game although sometimes lengthy and make battles last a lot longer but you are able to turn them off.

Music in the game is good. I think the music is somewhat repetitive espesially the battle music and the music while you are on a bike. There is some very good music in the game but sadly it isn't used enough.

Pokemon Platinum has brilliant online capabilities which are improved from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. You are able to battle and trade with anyone over the internet with the exchange of your unique 12 digit code and you can battle people around you with the wireless function so you can play with friends when you are with them. If you do not have a lot of friends that like pokemon then this isn't really a great feature for you however, there are many forums online where you can find people to battle from all over the world with very strong teams.

Pokemon Platinum is a much improved version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl in a multitude of ways. This game has a better story line, you are able to catch both legendary Pokemon, Dialga and Palkia from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl respectively, you can recieve Nintendo events over the internet to catch more pokemon and the gameplay has been improved.

I seriously reccomend this game to anyone who owns a Nintendo DS. The Game is very fun and has great longevity. It is very easy to lose hours to this brilliant game. It is a credit to the Pokemon series and there are so many things to enjoy in this game.
