to tame them. You are Ash Ketchum, a boy on a quest to become the best Pokémon trainer in the world. Professor Oak, the leading authority on Pokémon, has given you your choice of three tame Pokémon in exchange for your helping him to catalogue and document every Pokémon in the world. But to catalogue a Pokémon, you have to capture it, by first beating it up with one of your trained Pokémon, and then hitting it with an empty Pokémon Ball. As your tame Pokémon gain experience in battle, their abilities improve and they earn access to new attacks. Sometimes they even evolve into more advanced Pokémon.Aside from capturing wild Pokémon and evolving your own, you can catalogue new Pokémon--the only way to gather some Pokémon--by trading with another Pokémon player using either a link cable or the Game Boy Color's infrared system. Pokémon gained through trades learn and evolve faster, and trading is the only way to capture all 151 Pokémon, since each Pokémon game (Pokémon Red,Pokémon Blue, andPokémon Yellow) has certain Pokémon missing. So if you ownRedand want to have a complete set of Pokémon, you must find a friendlyBlueorYellowowner and arrange a trade.Pokémon Redis packed with interesting characters, an ingenious story book, intriguing strategy, and of course plenty of cute Pokémon, and it's easy to see how it started the Pokeémania that is sweeping the world.--Michael FehlauerPros:Gameplay and strategy that are fun for all agesFantastic replay valueBrilliant game design encourages players to meet and tradeCons:Hours of looking at the Game Boy's little screen may hurt neckOnly 1 saved game per cartridge--2 people can't share a single gameNo difference betweenRedandBlueexcept for distribution of Pokémon

fad,Pokémon Project Studiois the real deal: a great creativity toolkit for any child fan. The software is much like an adult's graphics application, with a look and feel like that of Photoshop. The difference is thatStudiois drenched in colour, with vibrant characters available to insert into every artistic project. For anyone who has been circling planet Earth rather than living on it, Pokémon istherage with the junior school set. To say that it's a hot fad is a rabid understatement. Kids love the Japanese Anime characters, based on a Nintendo pocket game. The same sensibility permeates this licensed product, and it's sure to satisfy. The software offers both preconstructed projects and the ability to start from scratch. The menu lists are dense with text, so for younger kids, parents will need to be there for the first few hours of play. (After that, kids can easily orient themselves to the corresponding colourful, icon-based buttons on the interface). The main drawing board offers a wide variety of things to make: birthday cards, stationery, postcards and calendars. (Teachers and parents may want to get this software for themselves--included are achievement awards and banners that can easily be personalised.) Also included with the software is Avery sticker paper--which can be refilled--and more substantive plastic paper that can be baked in the oven after it's been printed (a process similar to making Shrinky Dinks).A superior graphics package,Pokémon Project Studiohas the added luck of featuring the hottest characters around. While kids will just love to play with their favourite animal friends, parents will appreciate the thought and planning needed to execute these artistic endeavours.

Review on Pokemon red Gameboy colour
I first play Pokemon on the Gameboy back in 1999, this game became a big success as soon as it hit the shops, and this was bought by mainly kids or for kids all around the country. There now have been many Pokemon films out and a cartoon that is shown on sky one every morning as well as trading cards and many other toys. When Pokemon red came out A Blue version of the game also came out, called Pokemon ... ...some you could get different Pokemon in.
The story
***********
This game starts in Pallet town, this is where you get introduce to your character in the television program his name is Ash Ketchum but in this game you name him whatever you please. You get introduce to professor Oak A Pokemon expert. Then he gives a choice of 3 Pokemon you chose one, and then your journey begins to become a Pokemon master.

There now have been many Pokemon films out and a cartoon that is shown on sky one every morning as well as trading cards and many other toys. When Pokemon red came out A Blue version of the game also came out, called Pokemon blue, both of these games were the same apart from some you could get different Pokemon in.

You get introduce to professor Oak A Pokemon expert. Then he gives a choice of 3 Pokemon you chose one, and then your journey begins to become a Pokemon master.
What are Pokemon? ********************** Pokemon are basically made up Animals/creatures with special abilities which you have to collect, to collect them you have to use Pokeballs these are used to capture the Pokemon in, To capture Pokemon you have to battle them and make them weak then throw the Pokemon ball, but this doesn't always guarantee capture it depends on the pokemon. There are a total of 150 Pokemon you can collect in a number of different ways. I'm not going to name all 150 but I will tell you a little about the most popular Pokemon. Pikachu probably is the most well known of all the Pokemon an electric mouse, with Yellow and brown stripes. There is also Bulbarsaur a Plant type Pokemon who uses such attacks as Vine whip. Squirtle is a water type Pokemon. Meowth is a cat and the only pokemon that can talk to humans.
How to collect the Pokemon ********************************** You have to find wild Pokemon they hide in the following areas. Searching the following places, you can crawl through tall grass, Go through a forest, Power plant, and ever collect sea Pokemon ever a haunted building, where you can catch ghost Pokemon. There are always a couple of special ways of getting some of the Pokemon; firstly you can transfer Pokemon between two Gameboys. To do this you need to have a link up cable to Gameboys and a version of Pokemon the game either the blue/red or Yellow editions. You need to transfer some of the people because you cannot get all of them from just one of the games each version has it's own selection of red only Pokemon. The second way is you can get your Pokemon to evolve into a different type of Pokemon once they get to a certain level.
The Badges *************** Within Pokemon you will go through eight different towns in each of these there is a Gym, With a Gym leader, for each gym leader you defeat you will require a badge with there own special abilities. You will have to acquire all 8 badges to be able to fight the elite 4 at the end of the game.
Items ********* There are many items within this game, the basics like Pokeballs and the town map. There are other items such as Moonstone, fossils, HPs to upgrade the Pokemons abilities and many other items. When you get further into the game you will get better Pokeballs, e.g. Great Pokeballs and Super Pokeballs.
Extra info ************ You can only carry 6 Pokemon at anyone time, when you catch extra Pokemon there are store on pc which you use during the game to store items and Pokemon. There are shops where you can buy and sell stuff. Pokemon Go up to level 100 and no higher. If you had Pokemon Stadium on the Nintendo64 and the Gamepak Which went on to bottom of the Nintendo 64 join pad you can use this game to gain a few extra Pokemon.
Graphics ************ This graphics are not really all that good to be honest but they do there job well enough; there is limit colour and detail.
Sound ******** The sound is a little a better you get the music throughout the whole of the game that can become annoying after a while but it's not to bad and you get the sound effects when you are fighting.
Gameplay ************* This is the games best quality it is super easy to play and really fun to play even though it is more for kids, but it's a game I’ve been playing for ages.
Overall ********* This is a really good which will keep children amused for hours, there are newer versions available, but they will cost you Ł30. But you can probably get this version for Ł5 second hand, or if you want a copy give me a buzz I’ve got 2 copies.
Advantages: POKEMON! GOTTA CATCH EM ALL! Disadvantages: No-one likes it any more
...out burst? Why under the pokemon section? I don't know. I just did so BLEAH!
Yes I know that it is my first opinion since the NNM accolade and, as usual, straight after pride comes a fall. Inmy case the pride was the NNM the fall was the writers cramp. This better be a good review... I have heard rumours that pokemon started on the greatest console ever, the SNES. From this it moved to a Japanese tv show. From that it moved to a program on Sky One. ... ...came out of his was Pokemon cards though.
Okay so I know that the Pokemon phenomenom is dead and buried but the games live on! Especialy Pokemon Red/Blue. These two games were revolutionary for the game boy. The sheer depth of the game and its (most of the time) good graphics brought new life to a hand-held that was well past its sell by date. Basically Pokemon stands for Pocket monsters for all of you not in the know. These pokemon are like animals ...

The game, no matter how annoying, how irritating or how damn right disturbing it might seem...is actually pretty good. ...when I heard about the pokemon phase that was sweeping across Japan and American, I thought that it would not catch on over here. Everyone, no matter of age had seen or played the game or the programme.
I thought to myself NO I will not get caught up in such a stupid phase. And obviously I did! I could not get enough of the programme, even at my age! And then I saw my chance to get the game. I found a very reasonable price for a Gameboy Colour and ... ...one of three pokemon, which pokemon you chose determines the level of difficulty at the start of the game. ...some fun. I couldnt get pokemon yellow at the time as it was too expensive =[ So i settled for this. Ok I'll Come Clean I'm 31 years old and I love pokemon Diamond/pearl! There I've said it....
I originally purchased this game for my son but soon after I got the pearl version for my self and was hooked.
The game maybe basically the same as it ever was back when red/bl;ue were released years ago. But when get into the game you reall do feel as if you "gotta catch 'em all"
This game kept both my son and I occupied for months we have both now completed our pokedexs ( cataloge of pokemon) and still have fun trading through nintendo WI-FI ( Which is brilliantly implemented)to get better level pokemon. and also battle each other.. another coold feature is that if you have an old sappahire/ruby leaf green or fire redgameboy cart you can get the old pokemon of those carts and transfer them to your party. although this can only be done ...
Advantages: Longevity, fun, depth, better than previous installments and Diamond and Pearl Disadvantages: I can't put it down, maybe not for those already with Diamond or Pearl
Everyone who paid any attention to anything in the 90s will have heard of Pokémon. I mean, how could you not? With TV shows, movies, merchandise, a whole trading card game and more, with the whole world going crazy about it, how could you have missed it? Well, the series started with the games PokémonRed and Pokémon Blue way back on the GameBoy Colour, and many years later, after many spin offs and installments, here we are on the latest one. What Is Pokémon?
If you actually managed to avoid it, Pokémon are creatures who inhabit the world and take on many forms, with now 493 Pokémon to date. There are many types of people in the Pokémon world, some battle with the Pokémon, some breed them and some use them to help in life. But these creatures are everywhere. And this is the world we're going to transport you to ...
