Advantages Great Motor, better design then the chain transmission
Disadvantages Stock parts are expensive
I have owned this bike since July, mine specifically is a 2002 Sportsman 400 4x4. Amazing bike, I had put a few upgrades in it, such as metal kick plates all around the frame and back end. I have had it stuck in up to 4' of mud and never had a worry.
Motor in this bike is good as long as you take proper care of it using actual Polaris oil for the front and back-end. I would reccomend bigger tires then the stock for better traction in wet/slick terrains.Overall an easy bike for even a novice with the semi automatic clutch you just decide if you want to go hi or low and let give it to the gas. Would recommend to new drivers.
