Ok, so enough about the history of the CN tower, and more information about my experience whilst I was in the Tower. I will explain what I personally did, however I will also provide some other relevant information, which I feel could be useful for people who might visit the tower in the near distant future.
Now there are many different packages you could by for your tour, and I guess it depends on the individual on what package they want, however I wanted to do the whole shebang, I wanted to experience all that could be experienced, and thus I opted for the Total Tower Experience, which set me back $32 ...
Advantages: Looks great, Sounds great Disadvantages: Annoying, No upgrade system
Race Driver Grid, or just Grid, is the latest racing game to come from Codemasters, unoffically its TOCA 4, but don't tell anyone. The game offers (almost) everything you would expect from a arcade/simulatuion racer and throws in a few twists of its own, including the Flashback system which we'll talk about more later.
The Career mode of the game, the heart of most simulation racers, is confusing at first but after a few races you realise how solid it is. Originally you only have a choice of racing for one of 3 driving teams in one of their cars, this continues for a bit and also allows you to jump into some great cars early on (including a Forumla 3 car). When you finish a race you earn reputation depending on the country you raced for and also some money, earn enough reputation and you'll progress to the next stage of the career ...
Advantages: easily picked up and played, online is great fun Disadvantages: lack of two player split screen is a downfall
The grid is a game that combines both mind blowing graphics and epic playability. The grid has an excellent array of cars and several racing modes for every kind of racing game player. it has modes such as stock car, destruction derby, le mans, drift and GP3 to name but a few. this game uses the usual race hierachy format where you play through three different "licences", where the races get consistently harder, but the diffuclty settings do cater for all levels of experience.
If its a racing game with great realistic crashes and a slightly more arcadey feel to the driving this is the game for you. it encompasses some nice additional touches such as a fully customisable team and gives you the ability to hire team members.
it is a good game that is in my experience, one of the better more enjoyable games on the market ...
