*Found you!* I had been looking for a good digital camera for ages, and then i saw the polaroid pdc 3030. It was cheap, small and good quality, so i decided to buy it from argos. Argos was doing a great deal: The camera, a small pouch for the camera, and a 64mb memory card for just under £100. So overall it saved me quite alot.
*When it arrived!* I opened the box it had came in, and looked to see that it come with 4 AAA batteries, a pad of instructions, a software cd, a wrist strap and a USB cable.
I then followed the instructions, and attached the wrist strap to the camera, and installed the software on my computer (windoes 98). The USB socket was covered by some rubber, that protected it.
Near the microphone on the camera, there is a small socket. When you open it up, there is a small picture that shows which way round to insert the memory card. To insert the memory card, just push it in and to remove it, just push it in, and it will pop out.
There is a button above the LCD screen, that you can just slide to alter the different modes. When you slide it to the left it lets you see your previous photos you have taken, and when you slide it the right you can take a photo!
The battery compartment is locked, and you have to push a button to open it, and to lock it you can just push the lid down.
There are two buttons on the top of the camera, that let you see the previous/next picture when you are viewing pictures you have taken. There are two buttons below the LCD screen, that let you maximise/minimise the picture.
*Looking at the instructions!* It took be about 5 - 10 minutes trying to find the English version, because the instructions is a huge sheet with writing on both sides and they are in different languages.
*Installing the Software!* When you insert the cd into the computer, it goes into autorun, so all you have to do is choose what you want to install and then it starts.
The software comprises of Arcsoft Photoimpression 4.0, Adobe Acrobat reader, Instruction Manual, Drivers, and Microsoft Net Meeting.
*Using it... on holiday!* I used my digital camera when i went to scotland. I love it because its simple to use, small enough to fit in my pocket, and its light (170g). The disadvantage is that every button you press, the camera 'bleeps', it does get on your nerves after a while and you cannot disable the bleeping noise. Another disadvantage is when ths sun is really bright, you can't see through the LCD screen. The pictures did come out great though!
*Using it on the computer!* You can slide a button into different modes, MSDC and pc camera. MSDC mode lets you look at your photos. You need to install the removable drive, which comes up under 'My Computer'. Your photos are there waiting for you to take a look at them. Pc camera is the Web Cam! It is great and it doesn't lag (unless you don't have broadband).
*Other information about the camera!* 3.2m pixels. 3x digital zoom. 1.4in LCD screen 16Mb built-in flash memory. SMC memory card compatible. Auto exposure Metal Case Complete with pouch, wrist strap, USB cable, batteries and editing software. Compatible with Microsoft Windows 98SE and above, Mac OS Version 9.2 - X. Weight 170g.

Nice review of a product that sold by the bucketload but hasn't had many ciao reviews. I've seen a sample photo that wasn't very good, so I guess yours must be ok.
