One knock it took was right on the edge of the screen, nice big dent in it now, picture quality still perfet. How many cameras do you know would take that sort of punishment.

It's has loads of scrapes and scratchs and it still works fine (hence "Black box recorder"). This is down to the size of it. Having large hands, it feels a little clumsey to use. One knock it took was right on the edge of the screen, nice big dent in it now, picture quality still perfet. How many cameras do you know would take that sort of punishment.
You can changed the shutter lengths which has come in really handy when trying to take night shots. You can also change the picture quality between four different settings. As you'd expect a higher setting means less photos but thery're worth it. Not only this, with the SD slot you can just keep shooting, i use a 128 Mb card in mine and i get about 70 picture on the highest setting. If that isn't enough for one day's shooting, then simply get a bigger card.
I have just bought it's bigger brother which is the 5.1 megapixel version, not much difference but i only paid £85 for that one. One reason i upgraded to the higher spec was the fact that it is only 3.2 Mp, this is a lot but as it has no optical zoom and only digital zoom then the pictures become very pixelated when zooming in. With a higher pixel rating this doesn't happen as much. It's got good zoom on the 3.2mp but like i said it does deteriate the quality of your image if it's not brilliant in the first place then things get a little hariy.
This one (3.2mp) did me fine and got me through my college years very well. The overall standard is good, but not brilliant by any means. I used to run a website and always used this camera for the pictures and was fine but as i developed as a 'photographer' (still not much of one now mind you) it was holding me back slightly.
I would highly recommend this camera for someone who wants to shoot a few photos here and there just for personal use but if you want to use it everyday or if you want publishable work DON'T get one of these. The battery consumption is very high, the flash will drain it in a few 'flashes' and the quality of the image is not brilliant either. However, whilst i'm slagging it off, i must compliment the ease of use. I hardly had to use the manual to get going and transfering photos is a doddle. It can even be used a removeable drive to store stuff other than photos on like a Memory stick.
For a novice/beginner it's a craking little camera but for anyone serious about what they want from it, it's a no go. Go for something a little bigger in pixels and something with less power consumption. What you save on films for this camera you pay for in batteries.

Another PDC series that scrapes the bottom of the barrel, it is a 3.2 megapixel camera with a CMOS lens, you may as well be using a webcam....which luckily enough you have if you have this camera.
It does have webcam capabilities so it is a step up from some low end cameras but other than that it's limited in it's use.
Again you have no optical zoom and are stuck with the quality degrading digital zoom, you again have a very small LCD screen and ... ...On the plus side this camera is cheap, it's small and light, and it's a simple camera to use one that really doesn't even require a manual as the few buttons it does have are all labeled.
If you're looking for a first time camera or one for a child this is it otherwise pay the extra money and go with a cannon or fuji ...

Ok so im no photographer but i found this little camera very easy to use with little symbols on each button i hardly needed the instructions. Also when connecting the camera to a computor it is very simple and just appears as a portable drive in your "my computor" window.
Although i feel this camera has some drawbacks as the flash on my camera seems to drain the battery and after a few uses of the flash it either takes along while to warm up for ... ...i would not not advise this camera to someone if they were goin to use it in the dark alot. also a small problem is that the sticker on the camera leaves a tacky surface when pulled off.
tip: when inserting the SD card (expandable memory card) push the card in so that it clicks you will probably need small fingers or finger nails as the card needs to be pushed in further than the edge of the casing. ...

One of the cheaper digital cameras on the market which is good for a first time buy. Unfortunately having only a digital zoom, pictures aren't of the best quality and become fuzzy upon zooming. It's easy enough to use, settings are helpful for changing the shot depending on the light. The screen doesn't show pictures at the their best either - you think the picture you've taken is rubbish, when in fact on a computer screen it looks fine. Very misleading. ... ...an alarming rate - it takes 4 AAA, and unless you're on the lowest quality and smallest size setting, you'll be lucky if it lasts a full day on holiday. Probably best used with rechargeable batteries. The size and shape is rather chunky, although light enough, the cube shape isn't ideal for fitting into pockets. ...

This is definitely not the type of camera that will be used by professional photographers - its digital zoom is useless, with the pictures become pixelated when the camera is on full-zoom - landscape shots again look pixelated and unclear, since crispness and clarity is lost with increased distance. The LCD display is also far too small, so that viewing the prospective photo on this display is impossible. Additionally any photographer, novice or ... ...that accompanies the taking of each picture, and which is impossible to mute.
However, this camera nevertheless has produced for me some good photographs. It is very good value for money, considering its 3.2 million pixel rating, and it is very easy to use, providing you are happy to use the viewfinder.
As a cheap and cheerful camera for the happy snapper this is a good product, just don't expect too much in the way of quality. ...

I bought this camera to take on holiday with me, it wasn't as expensive as most of the other 3.2mp camera's, this really was the sole reason I went for it! However, my choice turned out to be for the best, the camera takes better pictures than my dads digital camera which is a 4mp camera, and was more expensive than mine!
I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a neat camera which produces quality prints at an affordable price or who is ... ...great pics without taking up a whole bag and weighing you down!
This camera is digital, and therefore there is no more buying film, instead you can but memory cards, around £15/£20 for a small memory card depending on quality, if you want to take loads of pics then a big memory card can be bought for around £55, although its alot you dont need to buy any more film or anything after that, its a one off cost.
