Excellent portable dvd player, after having had the Philips 8" player which had specs that would play divx, mp3, and pretty much anything you could throw at it, it developed a hinge fault. I had to replace it and according to the specs for other players, nothing came close. In the specifications for this player it doesn't state the divx compatibility etc, Even so the machine plays them without a hitch. It plays both + and - discs. They also state no Zoom function on the Currys website, which it has.(I don't know where the info for the advert came from, but it has definitely higher spec than they are showing) Before purchasing this model, I used the Currys demo disc instore and tried the Panasonic LS91 and this model. The Panasonic being £30 more expensive, but the picture quality was not as clear. If you get a chance, play the demo disc and when the screen shows the Currys text, look at the blocks on the Panasonic, but not on the Polaroid. Have only had this player a few days but early indications are good. The build quality feels solid. The only couple of minus points being the size of the player is quite large and the lack of a proper carry case (They only supply a holder to hang over the back of a car seat).
