THis is a review for fixodent denturecream neutral. This was the sample given to me by my dentist after having an immediate temporary upper denture. I am completely new to dentures and have not used anything like this before.
SO how do you use it.
Wash and clean denture and dry it. I put small dabs of adhesive in the required places, palate, gum area etc.
Then pop denture in mouth, press for a minute and avoid food and drink for 5 mins.
This fixative has held for me for over 8 hours. It is tasteless as it is the neutral version which I prefer. I find the flavoured ones off putting as you can be eating food and then get a taste of bland mint, not nice. It also cushions the denture which is important in the early days.

Am in my first week into temporary upper dentures and am having to use adhesive to keep the little demons in place. Thought I'd have a go with the powder. I was looking for something that offered some cushioning (upper palate gets a bit sore without anything) and also good holding power.
I also didnt want an oozy gunky feeling.
So here goes.
You clean your denture as normal and then leave it damp. Gently shake the powder over the surface of the denture and shake off any excess. Then just pop it in. You have to press it down for a minute and avoid drinking/eating for 5 mins. Then voila like magic it is stuck firm and to my suprise creates and excellent cushioned feeling. Seven hours later and various food and drink later it feels the same as when I put it in, very firm and comfortable.

never grew back - still waiting. I had a denture that rubbed, cracked the enamel. I ended up with very few teeth on the top. Originally the denture fitted quite well but over time the gums shrank. Very occasionally my teeth fell off - boy! is that embarrassing. especially talking to your boss. Everyone is always polite - but you can see the horror on there faces! (Oh no! his face is coming to bits!)
The final straw came when I bit and broke it. I had it fixed but it was a slightly worse fit than before. Something had to be done.
I visited my local pharamacy and asked what they had for sticking dentures down(or up). I tried to make out it was for an ageing relative - the last time I was in a chemist being embarrassed was trying to buy a pack of you know whats!
