It is constantly in demand ... ...- I have saved a fortune on cleaning materials - you do not need any at all.
Everything is so clean and fresh afterwards. The house doesn't fill up with steam and there is virtually no condensation.
It runs for a long time on a full tank of water. I don't know what I did without it!
I have even steam cleaned the inside of my greenhouse with it.

Advantages: Easy to set up, no messing around, good build quality from a name you can trust Disadvantages: Castors can be slow to move around, power cord could be longer
...is tricky as balancing the Polti on a stair tread is not for the faint hearted.
The machine is fairly heavy when full, but it does have castors so you can pull it along. There is a safety pressure valve on the top where you fill with water that 'locks' itself when the pressure inside is too great, so that you can't take the top off until the machine has cooled down, and the dangerous steam pressure has subsided. This takes about 15 minutes, which ... ...needing the machine on for a long time, have to refil once it is empty, then have to wait 15 minutes for it to cool down before you can get the top off.
I've not had much success with the window cleaning tool - the steam generally turns back into water on contact with the colder glass and runs down the panes causing streaks. I bought my steamer only because I have wooden and ceramic floors in my house and wanted a more ecological solution to cleaning.

Advantages: The sense of absolute cleanliness after using the Polti is unmatched with any other product. Disadvantages: It is quite a bulky item, like a vacuum cleaner, so needs its own storage space.
...which this is achieved is just marvellous. The window cleaning squeegee attachments are brilliant - windows and mirrors have never seemed so clean! In hard water areas the addition of CalStop prevents limescale buildup and the Polti mail order service for phials of this product is very efficient.. ...

...is top of the renowned Polti steam cleaner range and it promised to give a deep-clean performance on all carpets, soft furnishings, kitchen and bathroom surfaces etc etc. I was also attracted to the idea of deep cleaning without needing to use harsh cleaning products. Steam cleaning is much kinder to the environment as it only uses water.
MY EXPERIENCE: THE PROS: I'm very happy with my purchase, most particularly with the in-built safety features ... ...and messy experience, but the Polti is extremely efficient and leaves very little water to mop up, no matter how much you steam. This model has a safety valve on the filling cap so that you can't unscrew it until the machine has cooled down completely (usually about 20 minutes or so; less if all of the steam has been used up). This safety device prevents you from being scalded. One complete fill of the machine in my experience generates enough steam ...

Quick review of Polti Vaporetto 3000 Eco Pro Lux Steam Cleaner
Not as good as described for steam cleaning although did a fair job, with the addition of much elbow grease.
The iron is superb but after only 3 months the covering is peeling off the cord causing burns to the hands when ironing.
Having had this appliance for 9 months the iron is locked in place in the steam cleaner and cannot be removed.
Polti service want £99 to pick up repair and return, this product is still under guarantee but because I cannot find receipt they want to charge me.
I paid more than £400 for this item and very disappointed. ...

Advantages: deep down cleaning Disadvantages: bulky for manouvering
I purchased this with my wife mainley for the advantages of cleaning carpets and upolstery.my childern suffer from asthma and it was recomended for the killing of bed bugs and all sorts of nastys in you fabric/bedding/carpets.
having used it regularly to steam matresses it is a very good deep down cleaner .no more yellowing grout in bathroom tiles .cleans windows quickly and streak free.
i recently took a red wine spill out of a cream carpet with ... ...that once you start to clean with it you cant stop.
the main disadvantage is the time it takes for a refil (having to wait for pressure to drop and the cap to cool so you can undo it .
apart from that i would recommend it to anyone. ...
