'''BEFORE I USED PONDS''' Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser is just like Vaseline- timeless, cheap and very effective. You would forgive me for not considering using Ponds earlier on in my life- in my head (and probably in many other people's heads as well), I saw Ponds as an old-fashioned product which probably wouldn't work (because it's so cheap) and assumed it was favoured by older people who are stuck in the same skincare routine as they were ... ...problem before I started using Ponds was dry patches on my face. BEFORE I USED PONDS Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser is just like Vaseline- timeless, cheap and very effective. You would forgive me for not considering using Ponds earlier on in my life- in my head (and probably in many other people's heads as well), I saw Ponds as an old-fashioned product which probably wouldn't work (because it's so cheap) and assumed it was favoured by older people who are stuck in the same skincare routine as they were 20 years ago. How wrong I was. It's a brilliant cleanser. I have sensitive skin which occasionally produces the odd spot here and there, but my main problem before I started using Ponds was dry patches on my face. I assume that those dry patches were a result of me using harsh products on my face to prevent me from getting spots. I didn't actually need to use those products because a) I wasn't a teenager with mild acne anymore, and b) I hardly ever got spots; I was just being overly-paranoid about getting them. Plus, I never moisturised; I thought that, because I had relatively oily skin, I really didn't need extra moisture. I was daft back then, I admit it. "Use Ponds! It's dirt-cheap and it works." a friend told me. I didn't need any further persuasion, so I went out and bought some.
THE PACKAGING
I think that the packaging is the only downfall of this product- it's boring. Sitting on the bottom shelf in the row of cleansers in my local Boots, packaged in a white box, it didn't catch my eye at all. Inside the box, you find the cleanser to be in a glass tub with a white plastic lid. Very simplistic. I suppose that the product matters, not the packaging, and that if the packaging was more fancy then the cleanser would probably be more expensive.
USING THE CLEANSER
It is really easy to apply and remove this cleanser. I'd say that you can use cotton wool or your fingertips to apply; I use my fingertips. You don't need a lot of the cleanser to cover your face- so one tub lasts for a long time- and it feels really nice to put on. The cleanser feels creamy, as the name suggests, and also quite greasy. I was a little worried about how greasy it felt at first, but it turns out it's nothing to be fazed by and it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. On the box, the suggested way to remove the product is with cotton wool (I have used toilet paper in the past, though, which worked equally well) and, for a "deeper cleanse", you can use a wet flannel. I normally take the latter approach everyday, because I feel more confident that I have removed all of the product from my face. I must also say that I love the smell of Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser; it has a lightly perfumed scent which is pleasant but not at all overpowering.
THE RESULT
To conclude, the Cold Cream Cleanser always leaves me with a nice face. Unlike lots of cleansers on the market, Ponds prides itself on never drying out your skin or leaving it feeling tight and unrefreshed- you are left with silky-soft skin which feels young and moisturised, even after the first application. I definitely wouldn't say that people with oily, spot-prone skin shouldn't use this product because it does give you really clean skin, which is the key to achieving a flawless, spot-free face. I bought some for my sister, who has just turned 15 and is prone to spots, and she adores it. Also, as an added bonus, it removes eye make-up really, really effectively. Sweep a small amount over your eyes with some cotton wool and your eye make-up comes off straight away. And, yes, it even removes terribly stubborn waterproof mascara. Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser is a star product, and I'm sure I will continue to use it until I'm old and grey!
Advantages: Cleanses really well Disadvantages: Can be too greasy for some

PONDS COLD CREAM CLEANSER!
I buy mine from Pharmacy2U for £4.20 for a 100ml jar, this lasts me about 2 months because I don't always go about looking like Liz Taylor. My mother used Ponds on her skin and it is a well established and renowned brand affiliated with Elida Faberge. We have never had cause to complain but should you want to those Pondlife (hahaha) can be found at;

The packaging is simple and distinct in a white plastic jar with the name and emblem (I remember when the jars were made of china - not very good for travelling.)
Now the selling point of this cleanser is that it does so without drying your skin out. If you are prone to greasy skin, then this is probably not the cleanser for you. If you are like me and have dry skin or wear foundation, this is the business. It has a thick ...

Advantages: Great for sensitive but spot prone skin, cheap, fairly pleasant to use Disadvantages: Not the most trendy or aesthetically pleasing product
...the same application/removal technique with Ponds Cold cream did wonders for the skin. At only around £2.50 for a jar of Ponds and roughly £4.00 for a big pack of muslin squares from Boots, I thought I may as well give it a go before shelling out for the Eve Lom cleanser. Skin Type - I had great skin until about a year ago when I began to get acne type spots in certain areas (red, stayed under the surface for ages, left a little purplish scar). I ... ...which helped a lot but I still seemed to have problem skin. I was using a face wash twice a day packed with salicylic acid etc to prevent spots, which I thought was a good idea but started leaving my face dry and red in areas. I realise now that this was probably the point when the pill kicked in (after about 3 months) and oil production calmed down so my skin (which is really quite sensitive) was being dryed out far too much, This combined with ...

Advantages: nice size, removes makeup well Disadvantages: smell, leaves face a tad greasy
...My first experiences with the Ponds brand were as a little girl watching television commericals. I remember one had big white swinging French doors. They would open, and you would see lots of dark-haired beautiful women walking around in what (to me) looked like a ballroom. In the middle of a ballroom there was a large fountain. An announcer would say something about the "International Ponds Institute", and the commercial would close with something ... ...when I thought of the Ponds brand and those commercials from my youth. I knew Ponds was most famous for it's original cold cream, which claimed to remove makeup and not clog pores. I bought my first jar of Ponds Cold Cream at the local drugstore *cough* chemist's for around 10 $ -- about 4.50 Great Britain Pounds. To me, for a chemist's product, this is a tad expensive. But, the jar is big so it should last for awhile.
The jar is 190 mL and almost ...

Advantages: Thoroughly cleanse leaving skin velvet to touch, it's purse friendly, it smells lovely, perfect! Disadvantages: Glass jar was a bit awkward for a butter fingers like me!
...I had heard of ponds cold cleansing cream before but thought it was a bit old lady for me, and sitting amongst the pretty pots in boots it looked a little bland. But I was short on cash and ran out of cleanser so i though "What's the harm, its not like it could make my skin worse!" So I followed the instructions on the back, you smooth it on with your fingers and then wipe gently with either cooton wool or a warm flannel. I did both gently with the ... ...followed with a dab of Ponds Hydro- Nourishing Cream. I would whole- heartedly recommend this to anyone suffering with fickle skin, it truly is severly under-rated, it has miracously re-balanced my skin, i now feel like i have normal skin! Went to work today without a scrap of make- up and actually felt good ( says the girl who only a month a go wouldnt go out without primer, foundation, two types of concealer and a coating of powder!!!) And a £3.99 ...

Advantages: Great cleanser for winter time Disadvantages: Can get a bit too oily for certain skin types
...Recently when Ponds introduced their cleanser in the same packaging as their famous creams (that they have been selling since ages), I was tempted to buy the green white jar. Ponds was known to me as a trademark for thick facial and cold creams. They later also came up with the cleansing products like cloths and pore cleansers. This magnificent cream cleanser is a cold cream and a cleanser in one package. The jar is a classic ponds' white one with ... ...and with the work of your fingures you can take as much as you want.
This cream cleanser is great for winters for dry skins. It worked extremely well for me to remove my make up. I use a lot of eye make up and lipstick generally and this cleanser takes away every trace of make up leaving my skin squeaky clean. I have also used the cleanser for just cleaning my face before going to bed and trust me, it makes you feel all light and oil free. I would ...

out of my posh stuff and was unable to get into town to buy some more. So I fished the Pond?scream (no pun intended!) out of my cupboard, intending to use it on a strictly temporary basis, until I could get into town later that week. That was about 6 weeks ago. I?m still on the same jar, but have absolutely no intention of reverting back to the expensive cream at £34 for a 50 ml jar!
I had previously been aware of the Pond?s range, and remember using their coldcream as a cleanser when I was a teenager. I also remember my grandmother using their 'Vanishing Cream' (I'm still a bit curious about what this actually was!). This particular cream - the Hydro-Nourishing Cream - is a facial moisturiser. It is extremely light, yet rich, and absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and re-hydrated.

quickly absorbed into the skin leaving a smooth, healthy look and a natural feeling to the face. As I have sensitive skin I noticed that this cream has been, especially beneficial to my face prevented any dryness or other side effects and giving much softer skin.
The cream contains beauty oils, which help to repair and enhance the skin and additionally provide nourishment.
Unfortunately, as this product was manufactured abroad there are no ingredients in the cream however directions to use the cream are present on the box, which are:
1 Wash your face thoroughly. Ideally with a 100% soap free cleanser
2 gently massage Ponds Moisturising ColdCream on your face and neck
3 Use twice daily, once in the morning and once before sleeping, at night.
I have been using the cream daily for few weeks now and have noticed certainly ...
