That’s just what happened a few months ago. I was sent a coupon for £1 off a jar of Pond’s Hydro-Nourishing cream, so I duly went down to Boots, picked up a jar and paid my £2.79 (RRP is £3.79 for a 100 ml jar but I had my coupon!), and went home and ‘filed’ it in my cupboard.
And there it probably would have stayed, had it not been for the fact that, a few weeks later, I ran out of my posh stuff and was unable to get into town to buy some more. So I fished the Pond’s cream (no pun intended!) out of my cupboard, intending to use it on a strictly temporary basis, until I could get into town later that week. That was about 6 weeks ago. I’m still on the same jar, but have absolutely no intention of reverting back to the expensive cream at £34 for a 50 ml jar!
I had previously been aware of the Pond’s range, and remember using their cold cream as a cleanser when I was a teenager. I also remember my grandmother using their 'Vanishing Cream' (I'm still a bit curious about what this actually was!). This particular cream - the Hydro-Nourishing Cream - is a facial moisturiser. It is extremely light, yet rich, and absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and re-hydrated.
I have fairly dry skin and am prone to eczema, but I only need to apply the cream once in the morning, and once at night. Although the cream is lightly scented I haven’t had any allergic reaction to it, and I’ve not been troubled with eczema since I’ve been using it.
In the few weeks that I've been using Pond's Hydro-Nourishing Cream, I’ve been impressed with the how luxurious the product feels. It certainly competes favourably with all of the expensive products I've used over the last few years.
The down side of the product, as far as I’m concerned, is the packaging. The box it comes in is pretty inoffensive on its own – a white box with the Pond’s brand name in black and a purple and gold logo underneath. The jar, however, is boring, and not something I’d particularly want to have on show. If you’re into ‘retro’ (I’m not), the classic white jar would probably appeal to you, but I have to confess to hiding mine in the cupboard. As I’ve already explained, I’m actually a bit of a snob when it comes to displaying jars and bottles!
I am wondering, though, whether there would be any mileage in decanting the cream into one of my posh jars, so I could display it with pride! I’m not sure that Mr Pond would approve, but until he updates his ‘classic look’ it would certainly be a solution for me!
Advantages: Moisturising and nourishing at the same time Disadvantages: None
I have been using Pond's since I was 18. I was a student at the time and obviously I could not spend a lot of money on creams; still, I wanted to invest the little money that I had on a good moisturiser for my face and neck. I found that Pond's was the one for me, very good value for money!
When I turned 25, I knew it was time to start not only moisturising but nourishing at the same time, and was I lucky? Pond's had a hydro-nourishing cream that ... ...pocket! In fact I have had difficulties finding any other hydro-nourishing cream in well known supermarkets. Most creams seem to be just moisturisers or anti-wrinkles.
I am now 31 and I am still using Pond's hydro-nourishing cream. I use it once in the morning and at night. It absorbs easily, so my skin doesn't feel oily at all and I can touch my skin soon after I have applied the cream and it will feel soft and smooth. And because it is not oily, ...

Advantages: Silky, gorgeus to touch skin at a low low price Disadvantages: are there any???!!!
I love this product!!!!!!!!!!!!
Basically i suffer from very red skin on my cheeks, which are dry at the same time and was thinking about buying an expensive product.
Anyway to cut a long story short I work in a residential home looking after elderly people, and much to my amazement one of the residents that is nearly aged 100 has the most amazing skin you could imagine and i kid you not when i tell you i thought she was about 70!
Anyway it turns ... ...for years n years.
So....I gave it a go,and WOW!!!!,after cleansing and toning,i use a little bit of this and i swear to you my skin feels like silk and you even feel better in yourself because it feels so light and velvety.
It also has a great light smell thats fresh and nourishes my skin makiing it feel and look (after only a couple of applications) fantastic.
But i'll let you into a little secret my great grandma taught me.....very occasionally ...

Advantages: Thoroughly cleanse leaving skin velvet to touch, it's purse friendly, it smells lovely, perfect! Disadvantages: Glass jar was a bit awkward for a butter fingers like me!
did both gently with the cotton wool first and then the flannel. Amazing!!! My skin was truly deeply cleansed but not tight or dry, instead it was soft and supple but not at all greasy! :-D yay!
So I have cleansed morning and night with this for about a month now and my skin feels and looks better than it ever has! Such a relief from my high maintenance routine before. Just cleanse twice a day followed with a dab of PondsHydro- NourishingCream.
I would whole- heartedly recommend this to anyone suffering with fickle skin, it truly is severly under-rated, it has miracously re-balanced my skin, i now feel like i have normal skin! Went to work today without a scrap of make- up and actually felt good ( says the girl who only a month a go wouldnt go out without primer, foundation, two types of concealer and a coating of powder!!!)
And a £3 ...
Advantages: leaves your skin feeling fresh and nourished Disadvantages: There are no disadvantages in my opinion!!!
First of all,i have terrible skin.Dont get me wrong, its not covered in spots, but i suffer from terible redness that is not down to sensitive skin, but is in fact probably down to lifestyle.
I am always after new lotions and potions that promise to help my skin look radiant and youthfull.
However I must say that after using this product,i actually feel uncomfatable if i have to use any brand but time delay!
These wipes are honestly in my opinion fantastic.
They make your skin feel extremely nourished and also leave your skin feeling cool,as opposed to some that can make you feel hot and itchy.
I must state that i do combine using the wipes with a time delay toner and a pondshydronourishing day cream.this way i cleanse then tone then moisturise for a very cheap price! ...

with many different brands and products available. Even in the Ponds range the choices are available and the type that my wife uses is the PondsHydroNourishingCream.
This is a high class product that deliver high class results. My wife is now 37 years old and you should see her skin. It's just lovely and is so clean and smooth.
It moisturises and nourishes your skin and leaves it feeling soft, smooth and replenished.
The cream has a comfortable feel to it and is nice and cold on your skin when applied.
It can be applied in the day aswell as the night. However my wife prefers to use it only in the nights and she rubs in a first coating and then puts on a visible second coating, which she sleeps with on.
PondsHydroNourishingCream contains Evening Primrose Oil, which has proven nourishing elements and is an oil that is now ...
