Depending on the engines you choose from there is the 3.8 liter V6 or the 5.7 liter V8. The V6 has about 225 horsepower and the V8 has 340 horsepower. Each of these is at 4000 RPMS.
Transmission:
The available transmissions are a 4-speed automatic, a 5-speed manual, and a 6-speed manual.
Interior:
Every Pontiac Firebird has a beautiful interior which comes standard with cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, automatic power door locks, four-spoke steering wheel, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player and four speakers.
Exterior Features
From the outside, the Pontiac Firebird have sport dual power outside mirrors, an integrated rear deck lid spoiler, performance tires, and standard sixteen-inch bright silver five-spoke cast aluminum wheels. The Formula Coupe and Trans Am Coupe feature a hatch roof with a removable, locking sunshade. Plus you can pull the top down on the convertable models.
Misc:
There are many types of firebirds. These inlcude the Firebird Coupe, Firebird Convertible, Formula Coupe, Trans Am Coupe, and Trans Am Convertible. The Pontiac Firebird's is a great car for driving around and showing off your looks. Plus its a nice hit with the ladies. Anyways, the legacy of the firebird goes back extremly far. There are four generations of the firebird, all which are beautiful cars if they are taken car of. I have an uncle who owns one of each generation of the firebirds and not once have they let him down. All the cars from each generation has its own personl look and feel. These cars are popular at car shows and such. So if your looking for a nice car to buy that is reliable and great looking this is right for you, but if your going to only drive it a little then store it in your garage for 5 years then dont buy it. Let someone else have it so they can put the car to its full potential.
...has a better version of the LS1 engine that is on the f-body cars, and Mustang SVT Cobra is the highest model pony Ford builds. Everything else is just toast.
So why are these cars failing? Well, I blame GM more than anyone else. The Corvette C5 went through a superb re-modeling. It got better suspension and a computerized handling system that makes it one of the best sports cars in the world. What happened to Camaro? Its hood got a redesigned. Its engine went through a low emissions standard check. The suspension remained the same, and so did the interior. What happened to Firebird? Well, Pontiac Grand AM and Prix went through a complete remodeling and a major add campaign. Firebird got an oil change.
The interior of the F-bodies are also to be blamed. Mainly the back-seats. I would say don't buy a sports car if you care about back...

Advantages: Lots of info on how to tart up your shopping trolley Disadvantages: Read by the worst drivers in the country, and pricey to boot
...-Car Entertainment (no, not them girls again).... in the form of them annoying stereo systems the aforementioned dopey little w*****s drive around playing crap music on with the volume on TOO ****ING LOUD!, making you wish you had an Apache Attack Helicopter or wondering if Saddam Hussein would lend you his old Human mincing machine everytime they go past you in the street.
This magazine does have 2 uses, though...... firstly, it's BRILLIANT for swatting wasps with..... one blow, and their gone.
The other is at least there's plenty of adverts for various car tuning emporiums, in case you were considering upgrading your own motor.
A few years ago, I promised myself if I ever win the lottery.... one of the first things I'm gonna do buy a real man's car such as a good old American Muscle car (or a fairly new-ish one, like a 1999 PontiacFirebird Trans...

Advantages: comfort, handling, power, gorgeous looks and finish Disadvantages: None. Not a darn thing wrong with it!
...PontiacFirebird Ram Air 400 (6.6L) which cannot be beat for that purpose. The BMW is out of the question for me.
Yamaha R1: This is a fast bike, with little wind protection, and rigidly painful after only 20 miles of driving. Unless you're looking to race at the expense for comfort, this bike really makes little sense. For cruising around the Berkeley / Oakland hills it is fun, but after that I found it exhausting.
VFR 800: Everyone loves this bike, so I tried it new. I didn't like it at all. It was too fat, and had what seemed to be much less power than the beefy 118 hp of the Triumph Sprint ST. The VFR seemed heavier and felt a bit closer to the BMW tourers than I prefer. I did not want an official touring bike, which is how I would describe the VFR. It's a great bike in general, but just not as comfortable or as fast...
