I am an email-addresses hunter. I love to find a new free email service. I have my own criteria to love the free email service. Some of the criteria are as the followings: the domain name is easy to remember, I can use my generic name – “djohan” to be my email addresses, the features included in the service are interesting and useful, and the most important one – the service must be a bona fide one.
An easy to remember domain name of an email service for me is an essential consideration. I want my relatives and friends can remember the main part of my email addresses all the time, such as djohan@KotakPos (In Indonesian KotakPos means “mailbox”). In this case, my relatives and friends must have known my name + the ‘charming’ name of the email service.
“Djohan” is my complete name. It is a very common name in my country. I find it very difficult for me to register the name. Many people have registered their names in several popular email services, such as at www.yahoo.com, www.lycos.com, www.hotmail.com, etc. I have no rooms there if I insist on using my generic name – “djohan”.
I think it is not a good idea to add something after my name as offered, such as djohan_68 or djohan2, djohan2002, etc. Why? Because I do not want to make my friends think hard while they are sending emails for me.
Well, based on this thinking, I am sure some of you might have the same thinking. I know that day by day internet-users are increasing and increasing. Registering their names at free email services might be their priority. It is making sense as they are free.
Okay, now I am introducing you a free email service – POPMAIL - that I think has fulfilled my personal ‘taste’. I am satisfied to use it for about 7 months. I see this service is a bona fide one because they run a quite good business. I do not worry that once I am going to loose my email-address for their collapse.

To see this running business, I am not worried that once I am going to loose this free service. It is my main consideration. I have experienced of loosing some email addresses, such as at www.birdmail.com and www.nightmail.com. These two experiences are enough.

Registered users can access the service from anywhere. The registration process is also simple and not a complicated one.
After completing the registration process, the user can input his user name and password and reach the INBOX. On the left side there are several buttons:
INBOX is the place to view incoming emails. COMPOSE is the place to write and determine some attachments of an email to send.
HELP is the place to find some online help to use the email service
FOLDERS is the place to view some folders and access the folders available.
ADDRESS BOOK is the place to write down some email addresses of our relatives or friends.
OPTIONS is the place to add or edit signature, setup Pop accounts, delete your account, etc.
ANTI-SPAM is the place to block addresses / domains, allow addresses / domains.
YOUR ACCOUNT is the place to maintain our own personal data.
LOGOUT is the gate to exit.
On the top side of the mailbox is found some common buttons for an email service, such as READ, FORWARD, REPLY, REPLY ALL, DELETE, TO and BLOCK.
These some features are easy to operate. Just for an illustration; blocking email-addresses and blocking domains are two outstanding features. From the inbox while viewing some incoming mails, we can choose some email-addresses that we think that we do not want to receive any letters from them and just making some ticks on the left of the names / titles of the emails and click block button – automatically the emails cannot come into our mailbox anymore.
In brief I would say that the supporting features are very good and work well.
Recommendation
Personally I recommend you to register your selves for this free email service. Well, frankly telling you that till now I have no idea about the email space quota is supported for each registered member. Can it be unlimited? I have tried to find out about this issue, but I have got no information.
If you do not think that you are going to have this free service for your additional personal email account, try to think of your children. I am sure that they need it in the future. Book some places for them now. I am sure that they are going to say, “Thanks Mom and Dad!” Don’t wait any longer!
