The car of my dreams

Advantages: A Dream Car
Disadvantages: Leather Seats

I have always wanted a Porche 911 Cabriolet in bright yellow, but the cost has always prehibited the purchase. I love the shape of this car with its sexy curves and an engine that purrs like a contented kitten. The seats mould the body, as if made especially for you; adding to the comfort of the drive, as does the wheels, the size of tree trunks. Oh what a dream car! For me this car has only two faults. The first one is the cost of the insurance. ...
...and would prefer cloth fabric any day, but this is hard to purchase in a used porsche. One day, maybe I will be able to afford a new one which has been made to my requirements, but for now, I will have to keep driving my 1.7 turbo Volvo 440 and keep dreaming! ...

The Turbo Rides again

Advantages: Great car
Disadvantages: Price

...The Body is a standard Porsche body with a "Whale Tail" spoiler on the back that ensures the rear wheels stay where they should under speeds. The gear box comes with 3 options, Automatic, Standare and tiptonic. Go for the latter if you can afford it. It gives you the feeling its a real race car. In fact, Porsche were one of the first to experiment with Turbo powered engines. They evolved and did their research with the MaClaren Formula 1 team in ...
...main pioneers. Still Porsche were the only ones to have true success at a higher level. As far as racing goes , the 911 Turbo is ideal for certain racing on closed circuits and is has many of its own championships and race meetings around the world. Internally, the Porsche is essentially a 2 seater. There is a back seat but its not even worth trying to sit on. Its more of a parcel shelf. The interiors are normally Leather upholstered with their unusually ...

Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Tiptronic

Advantages: Fast, reliable and practical
Disadvantages: rear seats for very young ones only but better than nothing

I used to have a Carrera 4 Cab which was quick but this car is in another power league. Internally it is identical to the non-Turbo versions but externally it has lower suspension (does not like traffic calming humps) and has air vents scooped out of both sides of the car. For those who like relaxed driving keeping revs under 4000 the 911 Turbo is like driving any executive cruise machine but floor the pedal to the metal it becomes quite simply a ...
...challenged if driven hard but 25 MPG is easily obtainable. All in all it is a practical supercar and with Tiptronic a relaxed drive even in the city. Depreciation is better than on Ferrari's and the extra 2 (albeit small) seats make it more practical than a Mercedes SL (a 2 seater only) ...

The race bred car on the road!

Advantages: fun to drive and a great pleasure to own
Disadvantages: may draw unwanted attention and personal security

The new 911 GT2 is the picture of race-bred technology in a powerful, road-going car. The Club sport model is simply destined for the racetrack. The new model has unique carbon-fibre rear spoiler and exterior mirrors and radiator ducts. The 911 GT2 engine is an evolution of the 911 GT1 to a famous one-two at Le Mans in 1998. The twin-turbo flat-six engine has been upgraded to attain 483 bhp from a displacement of 3.6 litres. In addition to optimised ...
...and elegance. Each combustion chamber has two inlet and two outlet valves arranged in a V configuration that are actuated by twin overhead camshafts per bank of cylinders. All valves feature dual springs to ensure proper closing at a high revolution. The GT2 engine delivers its power to the road through a six-speed manual gearbox. Each individual part has been carefully selected to provide seamless acceleration through the gears. The GT2 clutch is ...

What a motor

Advantages: everything you would expect from a porsche
Disadvantages: even the price

...is really the last autenthic Porsche Carrera 911, the new one has a different engine, inside looks like a Boxster, itīs more comfortable, different sound, so itīs not a pure one like the 996. If you are thinking to buy one 996 Turbo,I highly recomend it ,because the power 408 cv itīs like the M 5, but different. Like all these type of cars do not take when there is raining because the big tires (285 rear) can give you a surprise. The maintance should ...
