I have to confess, I do not own a Porsche, but was lucky enough to be offered a free 24 hr test drive in one last month....and what a 24hrs it was!

...it's a nice understated looking Porsche - it's glass roof sets it apart from other models, and is a nice feature that gives you the benefits of a Cabriolet without making you feel like too much of a poser! The only downside of this is the fairly poor visibility through rear window when Glass roof is down.
The Interior is spacious up front but the back seats are a bit small, but it's a sports coupe so what do you expect!
Also, ... ...was delighted that I could reach the pedals - in fact with the Seat pushed as far forward as it would go (my usual setting!) I didn't have enough leg room so had to push it back a notch. The seating and steering wheel positions are all variable, and the seats are heated.

The power (320bhp) is awesome and makes motorway driving a joy, as soon as you put your foot down you can feel the power pushing you back into your seat, but you also feel totally safe and confident of the car's grip on the road...and don't even get me started on the sexy growl of the engine!
Top speed of about 170mph (0-60 in about 5 secs) I went for the manual 6 speed gearbox, as apose to the Tiptronic S, personal taste really, would like to try the Tiptronic but have always favored a gear stick and this gearbox is lovely and tight and has a lovely action on it!
It is amazingly fuel efficient, it's variocam technology effectively giving you a dual engine that automatically switches between urban and motorway driving, averaging around 25mpg, despite it's 3.6 litre capacity, and the computerised screen on the dash gives you various readouts including Average MPG and how many miles before the next fill-up, which is always handy!

The Interior is spacious up front but the back seats are a bit small, but it's a sports coupe so what do you expect! Also, being 5'1" - with legs like a Shetland pony- I was delighted that I could reach the pedals - in fact with the Seat pushed as far forward as it would go (my usual setting!) I didn't have enough leg room so had to push it back a notch. The seating and steering wheel positions are all variable, and the seats are heated.
The Standard CD Tuner is excellent, but the optional upgrade of a Bose Sound system is very tempting....with it's 11 spreakers and various gizmos that ensure maximum Digital Stereo sound quality at all times - the sound quality is superb!
Only real grumbles were that I found the positioning of the Handbrake was a little odd, a bit too high and too far to the left, and the indicators were too quiet.
Apart from that....what a car! Buy one if you have got the money - worth every penny!
