I think this is really the last autenthic Porsche Carrera 911, the new one has a different engine, inside looks like a Boxster, it´s more comfortable, different sound, so it´s not a pure one like the 996.

Crazy passion! That´s what my mum told my dad when he bought this car, but I wasn't complianing (I just can't wait to get my liscence). He bought it around a month ago from a work mate, the car has 20,000 miles and looks exactly like the one in the picture. Black with black leader, titanium inside, white watches, backet chairs, digital sound,etc...
This is a car for you and your friends to enjoy, driving through small roads, with curves, where you can enjoy the aceleration, the safe feeling with the 4 wheel drive, and the way you can get inside of the curves, and feel the speed in the wide, empty country roads. It´s like special big go kart, that when you drive all the road sensations you feel then in your hands.
The engine sounds are just great, just pure music to the ears, the equipment it´s great, and really you are wishing to have the free time to appriciate this marvellous piece of machinery.

If you are thinking to buy one 996 Turbo,I highly recomend it ,because the power 408 cv it´s like the M 5, but different.
Like all these type of cars do not take when there is raining because the big tires (285 rear) can give you a surprise.
The maintance should be made on the Porsche agents. I will not say how much I paid but was a good price and I think these cars they always keep a high value because of the quality.
Advantages: Fast, reliable and practical Disadvantages: rear seats for very young ones only but better than nothing
I used to have a Carrera 4 Cab which was quick but this car is in another power league. Internally it is identical to the non-Turbo versions but externally it has lower suspension (does not like traffic calming humps) and has air vents scooped out of both sides of the car. For those who like relaxed driving keeping revs under 4000 the 911 Turbo is like driving any executive cruise machine but floor the pedal to the metal it becomes quite simply a ... ...challenged if driven hard but 25 MPG is easily obtainable. All in all it is a practical supercar and with Tiptronic a relaxed drive even in the city. Depreciation is better than on Ferrari's and the extra 2 (albeit small) seats make it more practical than a Mercedes SL (a 2 seater only) ...

...’s apart from the new Enzo of course.
The question which needs asked and the answer to which will keep you up at night is how much does it cost, well first take the Ferrari’s usually you’ll look at paying £90,000 plus or a Porsche about £62,000 plus – wait for it the TVR Tuscan S will set you back a measly £48,800 roughly, depending on extras. (How do they do it?)
Performance wise the car has a top speed of 195Mph + that’s right! You will be able to get over the magic 200 mark on a good day (on a race track of course!!!!). Acceleration will scare you even more however 0-62mph in ……. 3.7 seconds, compare that to most mid life crisis cars such as the Porsche911Turbo which manages this in a snail’s pace of 4.1 seconds. You would be forgiven for thinking and asking – that is all fine and well but fuel will cost you an arm and a leg...

Advantages: There is no car that comes as close to perfection Disadvantages: I couldn't even come close to affording it
...-Class AMG). Maybe I've lived a sheltered life, but my one drive of that car on the Donegal roads is one of the greatest memories of my 19 years.
In fact its closest rivals are the Mitsubishi Evo VI and the Subaru Impreza. Both are packed with technology but have the subtlety of a man in pink at a funeral. They are quite simply hideous, while the M5 is graceful and elegant. Only its massive 19 inch M-badged wheels, the subtle little slip for a spoiler at the back and the deeper front spoiler suggest what this car really is.
On the road, it almost matches a Porsche911Turbo for performance and can match it in terms of ride and handling. It hugs the road like a child to its mother. For the driver of questionable ability it has ESP, traction control, ABS and a mountain of other safety features, including the usual airbags etc.

Advantages: Excellent features, A-Z index of manufacturers/make+model, excellent regular columnists Disadvantages: letters page; occasionally the photographers focus more on their models than the cars

SLEEK CARS: In FEATURES they give serious page space to some seriously gorgeous high-performance vehicles - in recent months this has included the Porsche GT3, Ferrari 599 and limited edition Aston Martin DBS. Ok, so these are dream cars - way out of the realms of affordability for anything less than 6 numbers on the lottery or a full player's contract at Chelsea - but with photography that focuses on the fine detals of the interiors as well as the fantastic exterior shots, the magazine makes sure your dreams are going to be gloriously vivid and detailed forever more. To be fair they do give equal coverage to 'normal' releases like the new Honda Civic and Ford Focus ST but to be fair, after you've been looking at a Porsche911Turbo getting the same...
