Porsche 911 Turbo

... I think this is really the last autenthic Porsche Carrera 911, the new one has a different engine, inside looks like a Boxster, itīs more comfortable, different sound, so itīs not a pure one like the 996. If you are thinking to buy one 996 Turbo,I highly recomend it ,because the power ... Read review

What a motor

Advantages: everything you would expect from a porsche
Disadvantages: even the price

If you are thinking to buy one 996 Turbo,I highly recomend it ,because the power 408 cv itīs like the M 5, but different.

Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Tiptronic

Advantages: Fast, reliable and practical
Disadvantages: rear seats for very young ones only but better than nothing

I used to have a Carrera 4 Cab which was quick but this car is in another power league. Internally it is identical to the non-Turbo versions but externally it has lower suspension (does not like traffic calming humps) and has air vents scooped out of both sides of the car. For those who like relaxed driving keeping revs under 4000 the 911 Turbo is like driving any executive cruise machine but floor the pedal to the metal it becomes quite simply a ...
...challenged if driven hard but 25 MPG is easily obtainable. All in all it is a practical supercar and with Tiptronic a relaxed drive even in the city. Depreciation is better than on Ferrari's and the extra 2 (albeit small) seats make it more practical than a Mercedes SL (a 2 seater only) ...

Supercar at home in town or country

Advantages: Looks, performance, build quality...
Disadvantages: Not a friend to the green lobby

the passenger door, which is quite cute. You can fit a couple of saddles or a bale of shavings on the back seats which is pretty good for a supercar. Mind you, to be fair, we used to get a bale of hay in the boot of the TVR... The Porsche boot is perfectly adequate but your golf clubs will need to go on the back seat. I cannot say that the 911 Turbo is cheap to buy or run but it provides pretty good value for money in its class. Servicing and repair costs are not on the Ferrari scale and over the lifetime of the car, the Porsche probably works out cheaper than a TVR as you do not spend so much time in the garage. I'm afraid that I've never got into the "what type of wheels has it got" thing, bit I am informed that they are very nice too... The Porsche gives you a feeling of safety both as a driver and as a passenger. Build, wheels and brakes ...

Review of Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe

A pure joy to read - highly recommended

Advantages: High Production values, great writing, superb photography, great content
Disadvantages: ........!

, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches - these (extremely) lucky guys not only get to drive these cars, but they get to really test them to the limit and then write about them. But, although for 99.9% of us out there these cars are pure fantasy, a great deal of the magazine's content covers cars that are indeed tangible for a lot of people. I have the September 2007 issue in front of me now, and they have features on such a diverse range of cars from the Ģ9,995 Renault Twingo GT, up to the Ģ100k+ Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio, and a whole comparison test with four great Lambourghinis. There really is content here that we can all relate to, and the great thing is that when they are comparing cars they really do put expense and badge snobbery to one side. By this, I mean that when they do big shoutouts or Car Of The Year tests, they compare Supercars ...

Review of Evo

If Only Words Could Describe It

Advantages: There is no car that comes as close to perfection
Disadvantages: I couldn't even come close to affording it

-Class AMG). Maybe I've lived a sheltered life, but my one drive of that car on the Donegal roads is one of the greatest memories of my 19 years. In fact its closest rivals are the Mitsubishi Evo VI and the Subaru Impreza. Both are packed with technology but have the subtlety of a man in pink at a funeral. They are quite simply hideous, while the M5 is graceful and elegant. Only its massive 19 inch M-badged wheels, the subtle little slip for a spoiler at the back and the deeper front spoiler suggest what this car really is. On the road, it almost matches a Porsche 911 Turbo for performance and can match it in terms of ride and handling. It hugs the road like a child to its mother. For the driver of questionable ability it has ESP, traction control, ABS and a mountain of other safety features, including the usual airbags etc. You may ...
