I BOUGHT MY BOXSTER 2.5 (WANTED 2.7) BACK IN MAY LAST YEAR AS A TOY. I WAS DRIVING A COMPANY LAGUNA AT THE TIME AND ALTHOUGH THE LAGUNA WAS A GOOD CAR, IF YOU HAVE EVER DRIVEN ONE YOU WILL KNOW WHY I NEEDED SOME FUN. THE BOXSTER WAS A 1999 ON A T-REG AT THE TIME I PAID £18,000 FOR THE CAR (ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE DROPPED A BIT IN PRICE NOW) AND I THOUGHT THAT THE CAR WAS EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY, THE BOXSTER 2.5 IS QUICK, HANDLES EXCELLENT AND TURNS HEADS TO BREAKING POINT. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING ONE I WOULD SAY THAT TO GET A 6 YEAR OLD, MID-ENGINED 'PROPER' SPORTS CAR FOR UNDER £16,000 WITH A PORSCHE BADGE ON THE FRONT, IS AN ABSOLUTE BARGAIN AND THE FUN YOU WILL HAVE IN IT WILL BE WORTH 3-4 TIMES THAT. i've never been in a boxster,but i do like the look of them. i think anyone who buys a boxters cant afford a 911. Well, thats what jeremy clarkson says! Phil

Advantages: Numerous Disadvantages: Some noise; 1 month after purchase developed white growth on hood interior (mold?); servicing is steep (well, what do you expect of a Porsche?)
