Advantages: Good battery time, easy to transport and use
Disadvantages: Poor reliability, started to skip after 2yrs despite anti-skip

I purchased this quite a long time ago, prior to the mp3 craze. I wanted it to use on the school bus and the lengthy playback persuaded me to purchase it over other models. The design is quite nice, at the time it was the slimmest cd player and the metal ring on the lid is a nice touch. If you want to get the full 115 hours of battery life you need to attach a battery connecting pouch which hangs from the cd player ruining the design. If you use ...

Although there is anti-skip on the cd player I found that after a year or two on the school bus it did begin to skip and I'd have to hold the cd player at certain angles which definitely wasn't what I'd expected considering the price tag of around £200. Competent CD player

Advantages: Does what it says on the tin - plays CDs - and has a good battery life
Disadvantages: Shocking earphones; not very pretty.

I actually bought this because it was on special offer, and not really because I liked the look of it very much - to be honest, the partly see-through off-white on the lid / grey round the sides / cream on the base is not really very attractive. Good old-fashioned CD player!

Advantages: Simple.
Disadvantages: Old

I used to have one of these, a good old-fashioned CD player! never failed on me, not once. I must admit that i never tried running with it, but walking to and from school with one in my rucksack was never a problem. It's nothing fancy, it doesn't have a built in radio - but who ever uses them anyway? It doesn't have mp3 playback on it, but no-one had ever heard of mp3 when i had mine!
