It's like having a mega stereo in your pocket.
Review of Sony DNE300 by robjak

Advantages: sounds great, clear display screen, value for money
Disadvantages: none that I can think of.

...it was just the name sony had called a new range of products ! I have now been educated by my son !!! An ATRAC CD is a CD-R/RW is a cd which manages to store upto 30 audio cd's on one disc. Included with this walkman is 'sonic stage' software which easily shows you how to store and burn music data onto a CD-R/RW. You can also store and burn files in MP3 or WAV format as well as audio cd's. You do need to have acess to a P.C. to do this. It doesn't ...

Sony D-NE500 Review - A Year After Bought
Review of Sony D-NE500 by Seidhepriest

Advantages: Equaliser, CD/RW, MP3 playback, CD Text support.
Disadvantages: 40-18000 Hz frequency range, won't save any settings except EQ when battery replaced.

The Sony D-NE500 would've been a truly good player if it wasn't for Sony's conservatism and somewhat careless treatment of features. The user interface is decent, it has the typical Sony joystick/scroll wheel that are common for professional-line Sony equipment. The player came with a remote and a simple belt-mounted plastic clamp for the player (it is not, however, a case, as the product description states). Both the remote and the player itself ...
...apparently has to do with Sony trying to promote its proprietary format. The D-NE500 had no trouble reading VBR MP3 files; it does tend to skip and inject noise on scratched CD-Rs or poorly erased CD-RWs, but MP3 playback is almost always stable. The anti-shock protection depends on the battery charge remaining; the player almost never, except if the battery's nearly dry, skips even on a bump into a person in a Metro train. Now, the problems. ... Read review

Can Your Hear Them?
Review of Sony DEJ250 by benraiben

Advantages: Has a good range of functions.
Disadvantages: Still not 100% 'Shock Proof'

The Sony DEJ250 Portable CD player is a reliable piece of equipment. I used to own an Alba brand personal CD player which only cost £9.99. It was cheap, and an ideal price range for someone such as myself. It also jumped quite frequently as I walked with it - which was a major problem really considering that they are intended for walking. However, for my birthday I got a Sony DEJ250 Portable CD player bought for me as a gift. The cost them £37.99 ...
...CD players can cost well in to the £150 marker. Two AA batteries are required ( I got 2 AA batteries with it - I can't be sure all offers do though). I use my CD player 4 -5 times a week in 10 minute bursts as I travel a couple of times a each day. The batteries last me a good couple of months, providing I don't have the volume to high constantly thus draining even more power from the batteries. This CD player has a fair few functions in it's posession. ... Read review

Another eBAY Bargain
Review of Panasonic SLSX430 by marmalade47

Advantages: Good Sound, Range of Functions, Rechargeable, 'Unlimited Storage'
Disadvantages: Bulky Compared with MP3 Players IPOD etc

...My daughter already had a Panasonic MP3 player so I wasn't completely in the dark but this little beauty turned out to be a lot more than I bargained for. The sound quality is excellent and its surprising how much control you can get fron the remote (which was a bonus). I put a couple of standard NiMH rechargeables in, connected the supplied mains adapter and bingo! Not only was I immediately listening to wonderful music but the batteries were being ...
...houses the CDs and the Panasonic sits in the front pocket. This is particularly possible since with an MP3 CD in and the remote on the headphones, you dont need to get to the unit itself during playback. All in all a good piece of kit and not a complete disaster if you lose it or it gets stolen (unlike an iPOD). ... Read review

Sony DEJ750S / Jog Proof CD Walkman
Review of Sony DEJ750 by jyates56

Advantages: Jog Proof, CD-R/RW Compatible
Disadvantages: Not the lightest CD Player

The Sony DEJ750S Jog Proof CD Walkman is a extremely versatile Personal CD player with many features. It has around 40 hour battery life which is actually 40hours unlike most Personal CD players. The Mega bass is actually a good amount of bass without distorting the music, it is best using the Sony headphones supplied as others cannot cope with the bass. It is also CD-R/RW compatible which is great if u rip all your CDs off the internet or off other ...
...i've never had one which didnt work. It also has an LCD on top of the CD player which give you info about the battery life, Track no., Volume and Bass setting. The player also remembers where you last stopped the CD and goes straight back to it after a restart! Overall I have found this a very good Personal CD Player and definately worth £60. ...
