The Best Portable DVD Player For This Price!
Review of Philips PET 730 by
Craigshadow12
Advantages: Great picture, Good audio, Nice to look at.
Disadvantages: Sound cannot go as high as some other portable DVD players.
Introduction
=
I would like to start this review by stating why I chose to buy this product instead of the many other portable DVD players that I could have bought. The first reason was simply the price. This was the cheapest Portable DVD player that I could find at my local Electronics store. You must understand that I do not travel all that often so I just wanted a cheap portable DVD player so that I would not get bored during any long ... ...the summer. To put it simply if I did not have this device when I was travelling I would have been incredibly bored. Portable DVD players become lifesavers on long journeys.
This machine was also useful for those times when I just fancied lying back on my bed and watching a film. Even though my TV with DVD player was just feet away, I found that it was much easier to just boot this product up, slot in a DVD and sit back and relax. I loved not having ...

Portable DVD player for when Ipod just won't do
Review of Nextbase SDV 77 B by
cootuk
Advantages: Excellent screen, easily available accessories
Disadvantages: Plastic case feels cheap, sound could be louder
...Nextbase sell under a variety of names including "Voyager" so you may see the exact same model with a different badge. The SDV77 is the entry level 7" screen top loading DVD player that has now been upgraded to play DiVX, whatever that is! It is also multi-region. The player costs between £120-£150 and comes fully bundled with manuals, mains charger, incar charger, small earpieces, av cable, remote, headrest mounting holder, and battery. What really ... ...easy availability of spares, a two year warranty, and a wide range of accessories. Accessories such as proper wireless headphones with IR transmitter (even dual channel so two separate players can be used without interference) , a small games console/joypad, and a few different headrest mounts. I also bought a centre mount which allows the player to be positioned in front of the very middle of the rear seats rather than on the back of a headrest, ...

MY camping In The Bad Weather Life Saver
Review of Acoustic Solutions DVD-222 by
hewks
Advantages: Cheaper than other portable Dvd's
Disadvantages: No carry case, volume not quite high enough
...player*
It is a Acoustic Solutions DVD 222, Mmm never heard of it either but I'd never heard of the new vodka I tried last week and I loved that, so I decicded to give it a go. The box was white with purple bits and a picture on the front, it had a little carry hangle on the top which was pretty handy, you can even keep it in that untill you can get a case. It was very well packed with everything in it's own little bag in small compartments, no ... ...The actual DVD player measures approximately 9" x 7" and it is only 1.5" high when closed, the battery pack is about 2" high and this fits on to the back of the DVD player itself.
It is silver in colour and has a little matching remote control which measures2" x 4" and is so flat it really wasn't worth measuring.
As you open it up the screen which measures 7" and is a widescreen is protected with a film cover that you can take off when you're ready ...
