Nextbase DVD player a real hit.
Review of Nextbase SDV 185-S by
akltaco
Advantages: All Region! Very Affordable
Disadvantages: Pricy but worth the money
...product comparison. I found a Nextbase DVD player vendor at a local autoshow. Initially, i figured it would be the same as the COBY or other cheap brand that I could find at the local electronics store. This brand is truly unique. The person who was demonstrating the player actually took the player and tossed it on the table! No Skips! I've never seen a dvd player take that kind of abuse.
I was also impressed to see that you could easily mount these ... ...these dvd players. But I think that's what makes it special. I found a link for a NEXTBASE USA. www.nextbase-usa.com I ordered from their website directly. The shipping took less than a week! I stronly recommend the 8.5 inch player!
More reviews to come. Cheers! ...

Panasonic Portable DVD player Review.
Review of Panasonic DVD-LS 80 by
phil124lufc
Advantages: Great if you work away.
Disadvantages: Battery life
The Panasonic LS80-K is quit a stylish little portable DVD player with its black interior and silver housing this looks the business. And not only does it look the business but it is and I can gladly say that the Panasonic LS80-K portable DVD player also delivers. Perfect for those who live on the move a lot such as contract workers or truck drivers. But you don't have to live on the move to appreciate owning one of these I for instance have used ... ...DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-RAM. The Panasonic LS80-K will also play all of your DivX films as well as JPEG, VCD and most other media. The Panasonic LS80-K DVD player also has a SD card slot supporting SDHC. Watch movies on the GO with another BRO
Review of Sony DVP-FX 850 by
yassarikhan786
Advantages: 8" screen, support of multiple DVD formats, JPEG & MP3 playback,
Disadvantages: Mediocre integrated speaker system
...portable DVD players out there. Sony have really produced a GEM of a portable DVD player in the form of the DVP-FX 850.
Sony are renowned for their ability to create magnificent electronics both for the average consumer and for large organizations. This portable DVD player is no exception to Sony's policy of producing high-quality products.
To play a DVD you simply press a button located just above the DVD drive, which opens up the area in which ... ...if you visit the official Sony electronic shop you may be able to persuade them to give you a better deal. It often works in areas with low levels of customers.
I recommend this to potential buyers, but with the release of 160 GB media devices such as the iPod classic I am certain that not many people buy portable DVD players anymore. There will be a minority who purely want to enjoy a DVD on a reasonably sized screen even though they can store ...

The Panasonic LS82
Review of Panasonic DVD-LS 82 by
Julia95x
Advantages: Great battery life and picture quality is also great.
Disadvantages: No control
I bought this portable DVD player because I had seen positive reviews about it, and wanted to see it for myself! I'm certainly not disappointed with it and I'm glad I did buy it!
What stands out the most to me is the battery life. It lasts for hours! I heard the battery lasts for 12 hours, but found this untrue. Although it didn't last 12 hours I was still pleased with the battery life as it lasts enough time for me. You could probably still watch ... ...you only listen to music on the DVD player, the battery lasts a lot longer than when you are watching films. The screen is 8.5 inches and the LCD screen is attached to an arm which allows more flexibility when your adjusting the angle you want. The screen can be tilted as very far back, about so far back it is flat against the base! So it's very flexible!
Another great thing about the portable DVD player is the picture quality. I saw the quality ...

Not cheap but a great little player
Review of Shinco SDP 6820 by
psychophoenix
Advantages: DivX and USB playback
Disadvantages: If I think of any....
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas, the main reason being the screen size and multi-region capability. So far I have had no complaints from upstairs.
I've never seen a portable dvd player so can't compare so I'll just mention what I like (lots) and dislike about this machine.
1. Multi-region out the box.
2. DivX playability. I can (shh) download stuff (I actually often download a TV episode I've missed or forgotten to record), which is ... ...3. Although the instructions say you can play mp3 and jpeg off a usb pendrive or memory card it doesn't say you can play videos. Tried it and it works - wonderful.
4. The screen can be rotated 180 degrees and pushed almost flat back. Nice if you want to hide the base. The screen is 47% bigger than a 7", equivalent from going from a 26" to 32" TV.
5. Remote control. Why? Well you can connect it to a TV and amp.
6. Dolby output. It has a co-ax output ...
