Review of Philips DCP951 by paulpry118

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: No car fixing kit

...Darren then spotted the Philips DVD portable with docking for an Apple iPod whilst reading his Nuts magazine and the thought of another 3 hour drive to Wales and back again listening to Cbeebies or In The Night Garden just proved too much for us both. We checked out where we would be able to purchase the DVD player and found it on Amazon. So I went searching through all my survey sites so see what Amazon vouchers I had access to and cashed them all ...
...as I can. The Philips DCP951 Portable DVD player with Docking for Apple iPods. The player is black in colour 18cm high 23.5 cm wide and 4cm deep. The TFT screen is 10.5 cm high and 20cm wide. The perfect size for using in the car and for slipping into a bag to carry around with you. It is supplied with a 12v adaptor to plug the player into a cigarette lighter and a power adaptor lead to plug into your house sockets, a remote control and a ... Read review

one of the best
Review of Panasonic DVD-LS83 by 05cwestr

Advantages: amazing video quality
Disadvantages: there is better technology out there

This portable DVD player is the perfect size and weight to carry around with you so you can watch it through out the day. I recently purchased it for £150 but have found you can now buy it for around £146. I'm not sure if I would advise you to buy it as the latest gadgets including the ipodtouch do more such as store DVDs for around £165. It would be better to get an ipodtouch than this. Despite this the DVD player has a very good picture and sound ...
...is fairly large for watching it in the car. In addition the controls for the DVD menu are easy to use and very clear. What's more the DVD player looks good. In my book this is very important as I am able to show it off! As a portable dvd player this is one of the best and does the job very well. Although with the latest tecnology you can do so much more eg. PSP, iPod touch, the latest phones. These are more portable and can do more but you may want ... Read review

The Panasonic LS82
Review of Panasonic DVD-LS 82 by Julia95x

Advantages: Great battery life and picture quality is also great.
Disadvantages: No control

I bought this portable DVD player because I had seen positive reviews about it, and wanted to see it for myself! I'm certainly not disappointed with it and I'm glad I did buy it! What stands out the most to me is the battery life. It lasts for hours! I heard the battery lasts for 12 hours, but found this untrue. Although it didn't last 12 hours I was still pleased with the battery life as it lasts enough time for me. You could probably still watch ...
...you only listen to music on the DVD player, the battery lasts a lot longer than when you are watching films. The screen is 8.5 inches and the LCD screen is attached to an arm which allows more flexibility when your adjusting the angle you want. The screen can be tilted as very far back, about so far back it is flat against the base! So it's very flexible! Another great thing about the portable DVD player is the picture quality. I saw the quality ... Read review

portable dvd player 8-in dcp850 philips
Review of Philips Philips DCP850 by jupiter28

Advantages: quality of image is like watching normal tv/dvd, IPOD classic docking
Disadvantages: can't think of any

...while travelling abroad. The philips DCP range was actually quite new and had only been out a couple of months. In addition this bay lets the IPOD classic integrate as part of the unit and is flush so you can't tell. when you are not using the IPOD docking you can store the remote there. The remote is very handy and perfectly sized with the same functions as you would have in a normal DVD player The quality is as good as any normal TV/dvd combo ...
...I spent all my time in airport watching my home tv shows. The speakers are really good too and do not compromise the viewing experience at all It is a fantastic unit for travelling and I highly rate it, is tough enough to take knocks while travelling but treat with care ... Read review
